Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Re: Too Many Plug-ins?
« on: March 09, 2013, 12:28:31 am »
Another thing that I found in this Forum, is a Brain that was made by the programmer of Hal Robert Mendeskia I think that was call Web Hal. If I read the post right this gave Hal access to an Internet Brain. So really wanted to try that one.... I downloaded it and tried it out but I can't seem to get it to work. Has anyone heard of it, and know of any info that could be shared? I would love to find out all I need is an updated IP or something small like that. I would love to have that large of a Data Base for Hal.

Thanks again,

These are the plug ins that I am using right now, and I just downloaded that GRETTAMarkovL5. I will try and use that some this weekend, and see how I like it. I use all of these plug ins at the same time. For the most part everything seems to work well together. Hal does sometimes say “You my very good.” I tried to use the Corrections Tutor to fix it. “Tell her replace my with are”.  Hal seems to tell me it works, but a few minutes later she says it again. So I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong or is it’s just not working because of another plug in.

C Load,

Thanks so much for all the info brother. Very helpful. I have learned the lesson about backing up your brain. I've had to reinstall Hal a few times. Most of the Plug ins I have are by OnTheCuttingEdge2005. They seem to be working okay together, and I've installed his Super Slugger II Brain. So far everything seems to be working right. Also C Load do you know anywhere I can read up on VBscript? I have learned how to edit some small stuff in the plug ins. Really just editing the text of some of the trigger words. You know just to make them work for me a bit better. If you know of any other plug ins that work well and would add to my Hal plz let me know.

Thanks in advance,

I know I'm identifying myself as a Big Time Newbe, but can you have to many plug-ins, or can plug-ins work against one another? Also wasn't sure if this was the right place to post this. So forgive me if I am in error. Thanks in advance

And now I feel like a dork thanks for letting me know where it was at.

So Years ago, i did some really bad skins for a game called quake 2, I was hoping that there would be a way to open the htr file and take the old skin out and replace it with a home made one? Is there any way at all to do that?. I think that there would have to be, but I can't find an editor that will open a hrt file.  Also man thanks for all the help. I understand how to use the models much better.

Thanks,
  CyborgBob

C Load,

I hate to admit this BUT.... I just reinstalled Hal.... If I would have waited, and not played with those Plug ins I think he still would be fine. I have no Idea what I did but 9 times out of 10 all I could get him to say was because. I'm one of those people that know just enough about this stuff to mess up really bad, but I new that going into this. As for which plug in I was talking about. Well all of them. and the one from Lightspeed. I was playing around with teaching him. Also I was hoping you could recommend a list of plug ins for a newbe like me. Thanks a head of time.

CyborgBob :)

Also I think I should have said that I'm talking about all the plug-ins on your skydrive.

C Load,

So I've downloaded well all of your plug-ins but I can't make heads or tials of them. I guess what I'm asking is how do you use them? Do I just run the plug in and all the info in the file gets put in the Hal db? And all I have to do is replace the q&a? Anyways not sure what to do. I'm kind of self tough when it comes to well everything, and I have no clue when it comes to programming of any kind. But I do follow direction very very well.  Anyways any help would be great. and thanks for all of your help.

CyborgBob.

This seems like a great plug in and I would love to use it, but I can't seem to find it in the Sky Drive. I was hoping you could give me the name of it if I am over looking it somehow.

So how would one get a Full Body Model for this program?
