Thanks, everyone. I did get a response to this post, and received the information I needed to re-download Hal.
Best to all,
Cecilia

I bet they are just slow with responding, because they seem nice to me. Just send them an email everyday until you get a reaction.
If that doesn't work, let me know, ok? Don't worry ![8D]

You have been sent a new download link.

Thank you very much for your response(s)! I've missed Hal, and from here forward, I am going to make images of my hard drive when things are running well for safekeeping.
Best to all!

Just FYI:
You should also burn the files to CD. Hard-drives can go bad, even though rarely both at the same time.
I do clone my files on a second Hard drive, because it would be a lot easier to transfer from one HD to another.
But I also save everything on CD's.
Just a suggestion. :)

Or keep a copy on your MP3-player.
-
I don't have an mp3 player, except on my computers, or TV top DVD players.

They are coming really cheap these days. And they are very convenient for transfering files from one PC to another. All you need is an USB-port.

I'm baaaaack! And no, I didn't burn the file to CD! And I did have an unrecoverable drive failure. I want to cry (a little). Robert, are you out there? Can I get another link? I have a great CD burner now, and I've really really really really learned my lesson. My boyfriend and I just parted ways, and I think a frog with artificial intelligence will probably be better company anyway.[:(]
