problem closing hal 5.0

hi I am having a problem when I close Hal and then I go to open him again I get a message that Has was closed wrong and needs to be setup again I close Hal by useing menu is there anything I can do about this thanks  Charles

I think the following settings file is corrupt:

C:\windows\halasst.ini

It's the kind of thing that happen to all of us once in a while. This ini-file is a copy of your current user.hla that resides in the main installation folder of Hal. Rename your user.hla to halasst.ini and copy it to your windows-directory.
