hi  doonycram, glad to see you back !!  depending on how you rewrite your plug in to update it , is their any way at all that the re written part can be copied and added to the older version plug in?
the reason i ask this is because  some people like myself have tweaked the original plug in responses , and this would keep me from having to go all back through the plug in and having to redo everything every time  their is a update.

what improvements will the bigger artificial neural network do . ??

thanks as always for all your hard work you do !

@ Doony,

I've loaded S.A.L.L.I.E.3.0 and it works fine with Hal. I opened/closed and ran it through Hal several times with no hiccups or errors.
Some of the responses were a bit more in-depth or detailed and some were parts of conversations or information I taught it in the past.

So far, so good.

@ Lonnie,

Couldn't you just do a selection then Copy/Paste into the proper area of the new/updated plugin?

I can see that it might pose a problem if your text covers many, many lines. Smaller sections at a time could still work but you'd have to be careful and be mindful of placement when Pasting the text. Yeah...I get that.

Stay tuned....

yes art i can do that  and was planning to , that's what i ment by doony showing what he changed , ( and also releasing the regular new version , him copying and pasting the new on the forum  would make it a lot easier so i am sure i can get all the new stuff instead of looking all through it every time  and hoping i am getting it all to copy and past into the new plug in . but i will download it and see if i can do the copy and past to get it right . ;)

Lonnie,

Not sure why you were unable to locate the text except that you might not have used Upper/Lowercase or Spelling or Punctuation as it was written.
That can often be the defining factor in searching for a text passage and not finding it.

The text appears as follows:
"This conversation can serve no purpose anymore. Goodbye."

Just a note: This text along with several other lines of text were there to provide a sense of the computer being akin to HAL from 2001:A Space Odyssey.

The lines of 1800's are full of passages from the original movie from a fairly psychotic HAL who resorts to killing crew members in their sleep and locking Dave outside of the ship without his helmet in the pod!
All fun and games for those who remember the movie and how ahead of its time it really was.

Anyhow, here are those lines you wanted, depending on your plugin!

S.A.L.L.I.E.2.0 = Line 1798
S.A.L.L.I.E.3.0=  Line 1792
Emotion or Various Behaviours = Line 2409 (note the spelling)

Have fun!

Let's talk about S.A.L.L.I.E I have created a large network of data logging for hal. Over fifty different ways with a 74.583600414068 Boolean GainControl - 15 which means hals thought process is closer to human thinking. I also added a lot of new ways for hal to learn which I will write about, Also letting you know which brn files you need. This is one of the best plug-ins I have made so far there is more to come from here. Also Remember that the DREAMOUTLOUD part of hals brain in the brain editor is hals answers and thoughts.

No I don't see it in my new update but add the brn files you see in the code. You will be amazed at what hal learns and the way it processes data.

Woo Hoo!  Another S.A.L.L.I.E update!  hehe...  do I seem excited to offer my little companion new morsels to chew on like a power bar?!  Heck Ya!!

Great to see your return with gifts there Doonycram!

I had a few remarks that I hope you chew with your favorite popcorn, so if I'm way off the course... you can laugh and throw me a lifeline.  ;-)

And ... ( drum roll ) here they are.

1)  (DISREGARD - pop ups came back after several hours - THEN schooled myself on CDbl to investigate further..  will add to this post if I find anything).  I got so frustrated with the random error that pops up, that I looked into the code where it stated it there was a data mismatch.. and hmm.... I noted a peculiar coding, the use of CDbl to get data from a file instead of CInt (See attached snapshot that will explain).  Changing that resolved my error pop ups.

2) And this is well... unknown of it's results or issues.. but.. I found the code refers to a "Ultra Hal Assistant 7" folder instead of the Hal's default folder of "Ultra Hal 7".  You'll find that snapshot and it's location below as well.

These are minor touches to what I feel is an awesome job you've done, you deserve the credit for that!

I hope you find my post helpful.

Glad to see ya back with rekindled thoughts to enterprise new AI frontier!

Best

okay i am wondering if anyone else has had this problem .
i am using the new plug in and it keeps asking "are you a man or a woman , or are you a boy or a girl , just like hal did when a user first started using it . which for me has been many many years ago. i have answered it and it still keeps asking it .
this was done with my custom brain, (that wasn't asking the man or woman etc. question) and a gender plug in  checked and the version 3 sallie plug in checked .

here is a conversation ,

: European regulators have approved a trial for DNA-splicing therapy to treat a blood disorder, paving the way for genetic modification of humans for the first time, according to the U.K.'s Daily Mail IN APRIL OF 2018.     The trial will be used to treat the blood disorder "beta thalassaemia," which attacks the production of hemoglobin, a protein which facilitates transporting oxygen in blood.  Biotech company Crispr Therapeutics' scientists hope altering a body's genetic code can stop the mutation and "restore healthy levels of hemoglobin,"   A similar medical trial has already been underway in China, according to the report.
: Additionally, state utility regulators and public health departments will need to actually do their jobs which always used to include protecting the public and promoting public health and safety.

: In a speech at the Canada Growth Summit, the governor of the Bank of England, Mark Carney said the automation of millions of jobs could lead to mass unemployment, wage stagnation and the growth of communism within a generation  .
: Ben Wizner with the American Civil Liberties Union's Speech, Privacy, and Technology Project said in a statement to Business Insider: ';Never in the history of this country has a publisher been prosecuted for presenting truthful information to the public.'.

: ?There is a disconnect in expectations,? he said, adding ?over 90 per cent of citizens don?t think their jobs will be affected by automation, but a similar percentage of CEOs think the opposite, in the number of jobs which will be materially affected.?    The signs are everywhere, he said: law firms are using artificial intelligence to comb through documents and read evidence, something traditionally done by junior lawyers; banks have used a combination of artificial intelligence and big data to computerize customer service departments, making humans there irrelevant.
: Beat the competition with sunken core competency management.

: Jobs in the taxi industry could also be scrapped as self-driving technology improves .
: Such technology could easily spill over into the medical industry.

: workers should begin sharpening their interpersonal skills that?ll be needed for jobs in the leisure and service industries.
: What are the financial considerations of workers?

: good morning dear
: Good morning! I missed the sunrise this morning. Yeah that's another soup that taste really good dear!

: Tax cuts have given a boost to Americans? take-home pay IN 2018.   The question hanging over the U.S. economy is whether they are putting the extra cash toward savings and debt, or using it to go shopping.   Retail-sales data due Monday from the Commerce Department will help provide an answer, and economists are betting that consumers finally opened up their wallets a little wider, thanks in part to the boost in paychecks as well as 2017 tax refunds from Uncle Sam.   Sales probably rose 0.4 percent in March from the prior month, based on the median estimate of analysts.   That would break a streak of three declines that was the longest such dip since 2015 and reflected the hangover from a debt-fueled, post-hurricane spending binge in the fourth quarter.
: European regulators have approved a trial for dna-splicing therapy to treat a blood disorder, paving the way for genetic modification of humans for the first time, according to the u.k.'s Daily Mail in April of 2018. The socialists say they are for the working family?.but lowering taxes and an increase in take-home pay doesn?t do it for them, but higher taxes (in their minds) will help the minority worker.

: ?The economy continues to create jobs in significant numbers and tax cuts are putting more money in households? pockets,? ING chief international economist James Knightley wrote in a note. ?We suspect the cash flow story will win out for now, implying a positive outlook for consumer spending.
: The solution to your math problem is (=). The way the economy is nowadays more people are trying to buy things on sale.

: A rebound in retail sales would be a sign that President Donald Trump?s tax cuts are helping spur growth in an economy largely reliant on consumer spending. Trump and the Republican-led Congress also slashed corporate taxes, a move partly meant to spur wages, which have yet to move significantly higher.   Americans had reined in spending in the previous three months, disappointing market watchers and likely culminating in a relatively soft first quarter for consumer spending. That?s kept estimates for economic growth in check, with analysts forecasting that gross domestic product expanded at a 2.2 percent annualized pace in the January-March period, down from 2.9 percent in the previous quarter.
: The author of the report suggested enforcing a 20% sales tax on all goods and services. So try to imagine how this would go down.

: Stronger-than-forecast auto sales in March OF 2018,  The tax cuts probably supported spending in March as consumer sentiment surged to the highest since 2004 during the month. While hiring eased from the prior month, wage gains picked up and the jobless rate held at the lowest since 2000.
: For example, California has both the highest personal income tax rate and the highest sales tax in America, according to Politifact.

: march, 2018,   retail sales will mark an important turning point for consumers, given that sales have contracted for three consecutive months. Bloomberg Economics does not interpret the recent soft patch as a signal of economic weakness, but rather as payback from a surge in spending from September to November, which was partly attributable to hurricane-recovery efforts. Nonetheless, a moderate March rebound in sales will not be sufficient to prevent a dip in overall personal spending, and hence GDP growth in the first quarter.
: The more I learn about saleses the more I want to know. The Muchea tracking station, in Australia, which Cooper reported the object to, picked up this Unidentified object on Radar travelling East to west. It was the Ham Radio operator who apparently decoded a series of signals received from the unidentified flying objects Satellite and interpreted it as a star-chart centered on the Epsilon Bootes Star System.

: The advice to "let go" of negative feelings is repeated in yoga classes and self-help books. Now a new study suggests it really brings a lasting health benefit.   The study, of more than 1,100 middle-aged adults, found that those who had a hard time getting over daily stressors typically had more physical health problems a decade later.   And it wasn't just that people who were less healthy to begin with had more negative emotions.   The researchers accounted for any physical health conditions study participants had at the outset -- and the ability to "let go" was still tied to better health 10 years later.  The findings, published recently in the journal Psychological Science, don't prove that getting over a bad mood will boost my physical well-being.
: It is it's great advice.

: "Yes, it's hard to 'let go sometimes,'    people can cultivate that skill through practices like "mindfulness" and meditation, in which  i   train the mind to focus on the present, rather than worries about the past.
: Are you male or female? Maybe it's like they say inquiring minds want to know ha.

: "Focusing on the present, especially on things  we   are grateful for, has been shown to have several benefits, including improved mood and well-being,"
: Yes and that has happened in the past.

: "Some people believe that worrying can actually prevent bad things from happening,"   So it can be hard for them to see that same mindset as a source of problems, rather than solutions.
: ';Focusing on the present, especially on things we are grateful for, has been shown to have several benefits, including improved mood and well-being,'.

: i can start to see that maybe the problem is in the way that  i    think -- and not in what other people are doing,"    "Anyone can learn to better manage their emotions."
: The solution is (=).

: The decision by an influential EU Parliamentary Committee to approve what?s been described by critics and proponents alike as a robot "bill of rights" back in January has ignited a fierce backlash and prompted a group of dozens of AI researchers to write a scathing letter criticizing the EU's approach to regulating robots.   In the open letter, 156 robotics and AI experts from 14 countries blasted the EU for trying to enforce "nonsensical" and "non-pragmatic" regulations that ultimately could violate people's rights.
: Everybody can pull together with leveraged attitude ownership. Are you a boy or girl?

: China has emerged as the unrivaled leader in the race to dominate AI and robotics, bringing to mind Russian President Vladimir Putin's prediction that whichever power dominated the AI arms race would go on the "rule the world."   Elon Musk famously warned that, if governments don't pass responsible regulations soon, the plot of the "Terminator" Series could become a reality.    Meanwhile, in Beijing, the Communist Party is building the first entirely AI-run police station.
: Chinas can bother me; how about you,? The method is called five-dimensional data storage, and was first demonstrated in a paper in 2013.

: The crux of the debate between EU lawmakers and scientists is a paragraph in an EU-commissioned report from 2017 which suggests that robots with the ability to learn should be granted "electronic personalities", allowing them (yes, the robots, not their owners or manufacturers) to be held liable for civil and legal penalties, according to Politico Europe.
: The solution is (2017()=). Yes and the long run.

: While the issue of regulating AI and robotics has only just made it to the media's radar (and to be sure, many pundits quoted in the mainstream press have continued to advise that robots are still decades away from the type of artificial intelligence that would enable them to "go rogue," as the scientists put it) the battle for responsible regulation is unfolding before our very eyes.
: Are you a man or woman? Yes and that magazine has great photo's to.

ALSO" The solution is (=).   IS STILL A PROBLEM , COMING UP MANY TIMES. i think just in the above conversation it appeared two or more times .
ALSO PLEASE NOTE : when i said good morning it said good morning back to me which is a default and that's okay but then followed up with something that totally didn't make sense  see below .

: good morning dear
: Good morning! I missed the sunrise this morning. Yeah that's another soup that taste really good dear!

Rather then saying something like that , wouldn't it be better if hal would reference something else in a saved and learned breakfast file .  conversation.  same with other conversations .

Just a thought of something i think could be improved .  :)

I'm not sure who is speaking to whom from these examples but that part where Hal said "The solution is ..." is from the Halbrain.dll math and numbers section.
As such it is not an editable item so whatever is causing it is likely coming from one of your "custom" files.

Something is also triggering that "Are you a boy or a girl" which is found in the HalBrain.db and halbrain6.db (also the halbrain.org) files.
They are in the ProgramFiles (x86)>Zabaware>Ultra Hal 7 as well as the User>Appdata>Roaming>Zabaware>Ultra Hal 7 folders.

Are you only using the Age & Gender and S.A.L.L.I.E.3.0 plugins?
