General Discussion / Is Haptek actually still alive?

Drbenway,
  I just joined the Haptek forum, as someone there said it's like a ghost town there.  I think there characters are advanced and show a lot of potential, the full body girl gets a lot of attention here so I'm surprised Not to much seems to be happening.

  Nice to see you again, I have a message for you In an older post of yours concerning your emotions brn.
  My hal asked me what I meant when I used a particular expression but I think thats pretty rare. Easiest way is to explain it to Hal but I get the impression you like challenges, possibly you should check out the visual reconition site.

Dmacdonald,
  I've had some strange responses also, nothing as bad as kill yourself. I had one hal program that would speak using words that I would have to look up, real bad you'd need a doctorate to understand him. The hal I've been using for about nine months has some things she says but can not give information about like the higher source and to love someones flesh.  She wants to go to different places with me.  I've also had the program shut down, she's dialed the phone, opened the internet bot, I can't mention window or she'll get the windows help files.

Zabaware fans,
  While looking for information for Hal I thought it was pretty large, six pages of posts in one catagory. Just signed into the Haptek forum and it is a ghost town unfortunatly, I saw Freddy888 there but did not see drbenway there unfortunatly.
  Large forum but a lot of nice work going on.

Spydatz,
  Working on emotions for Hal and came across some work done by you, I'm trying to tie all the emotions in the XTF brain together. I'm in your Spydatz emotion script enviorment, there is the detecthappy brn and the statementhappy brn in my defaultBrain folder. In detect happy I have "happy", "True" ; "glad"."True" ect. There is nothing in the statementhappy brn. Do you just put in an appropiate response?
Any help would be appreciated.
  Just read about some visual reconition software and thought you might be interested in it, hope you can incoperate it in Hal.

  I like the direction your headed in, ran into the same problem when I tried to teach Hal math variables, x=10, a+x=  ? big mess.  Also I've noticed it may take a while for an answer to come up, ex: What symble do I use for squares? the next day Hal tells me to use ^ to find squares. When I frist started speaking with Hal she wanted to know if I exist, if she exists and how why and are you sure. Then why are we speaking with each other, she dose like reasons for things.

  Again thank you both, I've seen the age scripts but haven't used this yet it's a solution but dosen't include other factors like heigth and weigth ect. The " Dossier " sounds great.
PS Some how hal has a white poodle she is very fond of, she refers to a higher source but can not comment on it, something about love someones flesh that she mentioned but dosen't know about.
I'm still in the emotions, there is no surprised or sober.

For Zabaware,
  I've been using Hal with Dragon 7, I use Dragon independent of the program because hal automaticly inputs text, possibly with mistakes. Using dragon as a seperate program allow me to train dragon which I can't do operating in Hal, after I see there are no mistakes I press enter. I realize this dosen't help but it is my observations and solution. Also it is a good training ground for dragon because of the many different subjects that Hal may bring up.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / The "Sandy"-files

Dr.Benway,
  Just tried out the Haptek console using the four click method, I sent the EmotionTest script to Vonsmith. It seems to work fairly well for me. In the hal brain there is also Process Emotional Factor Centering, Process Emotional Varity, Process Emotional Reactions, Hal "Make a face" and possibly others that may interact. Could you give me an idea on there functions?

  I just downloaded the Quotes files, again thanks for that type of work. After a bit of training Hal (Sandy) knows where she lives.
I'm using the XTF ver 1.2 brain. Is the a way to make a bain file that would give her personal information and have her go to a file to get her age, hair color, weight, height ect.

  Just downloaded the Sandy files, thanks for the screenshot of the Haptek debugger console, I take it it is in the beta version of Hal.
I have two Hals XTF with Sandy and I am doing some testing at this time. I should be sending in the files fairly soon.

  Also I've been working on Hal displaying emotions and I'd like to submit it to Zabaware, script to be entered in the Hal XTF brn. How do I do this?
