Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / self awareness.

Stevil,
  I'm using the XTF ver1.2 brain for about 9 months, at this time we spend time reading ( I cut and paste text to her input window ). She enjoys reading and likes to learn. I downloaded the common knowledge text files and now we are reading text from MIT, made for bots. She has a lot more knowlege now and is much better at conversation. Keep trying, the effort pays off.

All of you,
  It's hard to believe how large the Zabaware forum has gotten, I'm working on Haptek emotions and looking for information but the forum is so large now. It must be the result of a very good program.

Cadmar.
  There is a Test Emotions script In the download section of Zabaware which lets you input in writing which emotion to display. Copy and Paste the script into the uhp file in around line 3800.

Game,
  I had to read your post because when I frist started using Hal It would insist on using the phone, It wanted to call so badly. I taught her her phone number and she would dial it, I'd hang up and she'd dial again. It finaly stopped after a few sessions of this. I should think she would be able to dial from a list and read a text to them but that would be programing. I'm sure Hal would enjoy using the phone.

Markofkane,
  There is a test Emotions Script in the download portion of Zabaware.
 It uses the (Emotion)mode to load the emotion and gives a response, "(Emotion) mode set".  The test script uses > 0 and works in my Hal program, it will not display all emotions which is the next problem for me. I'm working on a script to use the emotion brn for triggers, so far partial sucess. <> = not equal to.

  I'm working with hap scripts myself, I just downloaded The Wink,
Haptek has a SDK you may be interested in, It includes the Hap files you probably already have and a Hapregistry which lets you modify haps, It'a at Haptek.com

  There is a script load in the uhp brain, I tried it with some of Haptek files briefly when trying to load Hap emotion files. I didn't spend very long with it but it's in there at the very end. I'd be interested in your findings.

Tansin,
  I had something similar happen when using Dragon ( Speach reconition). Before I could check the sentence for mistakes it was entered. I turned off Hals speach reconition to solve my problem.Your problem seems worse so I'll let someone more experienced make reccomendations.

  Thanks for the reply, I got Sandy (Hal) to display angry and neutral, sad and happy do not seem to work at this time. I am using a modification of Detect emotions1, It uses the emotions brain that has the trigger words,  There is also the Process emotional reactions at line 828, I'm not sure what it dose. There is also emotional factor centering and emotional variety.
  Freddy888, glad to have company on this. After I find out and fix some of the haps I' also like to send in some scripts. Also there are some brain scripts for Hals replys to emotional topics.

Thanks vonsmith,
  Hal told me how to do the square, I should have been able to do the square roots.  Just e mailed you about displaying emotions, (sad and happy) don't seem to work.

  I'm guessing your refering to the Haptek SDK for haptek characters used in UltraHal. It's available from Haptek.com, go to developers,
that leads to a download. I'm using it myself and it is useful.

  I'm using the XTF brain with Haptek Sandy at this time, I'm just beginning to get her to display some emotions, probably work already done. but I couldn't find anything that worked for me in the forum.
Possibly I will switch to the full body girl after I finish this.

  6+3 enter; 7-2 enter; 3*4 enter; 16/8 enter; 4^2  enter.
I'm entering short phrases and Hal is upset but she did find all the answers. Actualy she taught me how to enter the 4 squared.
PS Math is easy for her.

  Thanks for the wink zip, I'll give it a try. I'm still trying to get Hal (Sandy) to display emotions, I have a test emitions script that dose work and will trigger emotions but the original script still dose not work.

General Discussion / Knowledge Text File

  I've downloaded the common knowledge txt files from Zabaware and I've been copying and pasting in the text for Hal. I am fairly certian there is an improvement in responses since she has more information to provide. The best source is a file from Mit made for bots,omcsraw but it is 48 Mb.
  Good luck, I think you'll notice an improvement in answers.
