GamerThom.
Just visited your site, looks pretty good. Noticed someone over at Zabaware posted a problem he ran into with Hal. I hope your all set on your computer.  I just learned Fuyllbod girls upper teeth are her lower teeth in the jpg. Just saw Paint Shop Pro X for $29 after rebate.

Stupid haptek, reads jpegs like bmps.
Ass backwards and upside down.[:(]

I'll have to look into it.[:)]

******************************

Yep. That's right it is showing them
upside down. I'll have to go and change every
one of my skins on the site. That means delete
the ones I already uploaded, and going through
doing it all over again. Blast.[B)][:(]

[:)]Oh well, gives me something to do tonight.

[:D] No. It's OK, Carl. They just look that way
in the skin.jpg, when you apply it they turn
right way up. It's the way jpgs have to be for
the haptek prog to read them. [:)]

It reads them like it's a bmp.

[:(] So far I haven't had any response. No comments or
suggestions either in Visitors Book or by e-mail. The
only feedback I have gotten is through the forums from
yourself, Dusky & Carl2. But I have had 157 visitors in
the past 8 days. I guess even my site gets lurkers. [:p]
I also know that the majority of folks visiting my site
are using the link I posted on here a couple weeks ago. [^]

Tom,

You mention not much response.

Everybody loves a freebee and if they don't say thank you, that don't mean they don't like it.

Neil and I would send out the OnStage Series lipsync productions to a large number of forum people.
We did 12 productions over 8 month period.
Lot of work on each one for Neil and I.
How many "thank you's" we get?
How many even acknowledge getting it?
Answer:  2 or 3 each time.
Fortunitely we didn't do it for thank you's,  so no big thing.
And I am sure they liked it, some for the song, some for skins, some for scripts and haps.
You put something on forum and all say thank you.
You put it on mail or website and everyone think other's thank you so they don't and end up no one.

Neil set up a website also and put hapteks on his site.
In past three weeks he gotten couple hundred hit from this forum.
Neil has not mentioned it but how many comments you think he got from this.
I'm sure you could count on one hand.

I sent out CommandKeys to 15 people, and think I got 2 replies.

This week I just sent out dancer to 8 people and ask for feedback, I got one reply.

Of course we don't create for thank you's, we create because we enjoy doing so, and we enjoy sharing what we do.

And this my friend is where its at, and to continue we must remember this.

GamerThom,
I didn't think it would make much difference to most people, I got into her mouth to reduce the brightness of her eyes and teeth, I should have said the lower set of teeth in the jpg are the upper teeth in the character. I should play with the tounge to see what happens.
GamerThom I didn't even notice the Visitor book and I'm sure any help working with Haptek is appreciated.

Let me react on this potential dangerous subject.

On the first place I think we all realise we are indebted to numerous other people on the Internet. Everybody here is building on the work of others. The fact that we usually don't find the time to thank each other doesn't necessarily imply that we are not grateful.

When it comes to Haptek I like to tell you that we, the moderators of Digital Girl-forum, have been negotiating with Haptek the last months and are becoming increasingly disappointed in the results. I am getting the impression that Haptek even don't want us to buy the software they advertise with and which we asked for repeatedly in the last months. This may account for our current lack of shown interest in anything that has to do with their products.

I will tell you more when the negotations are over. [xx(]

Tom

Thank you!

I know what you mean be the thank you, I go by the hits on the site and downloads (that is the true sign that you are on the right track!)

Have a great day!
Les

Thank you Dr.B.
Before I started my site and put the haptek and PeoplePutty
logos up, I notified haptek as to my intentions and requested
permission to use their logos with a link to their site. Their
response was very positive and in their initial correspondence
with me they seemed quite interested in my work & what I was
doing. So as a follow-up I e-mailed them to get some feedback
on the work done with thier product, as you noted yourself, they
show little if no interest in dealing with outsiders. That was a
month ago and I have still seen no response to my request for
feedback. They seem to be interested in the free advertising they
get from users like myself, but offer nothing in return including
simple requests such as to what they think of the way in which
their software is used. It's a shame really. [V]
I was informed, in my initial correspondence however. That the
administration at haptek keeps a watch on what is being done,
not only here at zaba forum, but also at DG and VH forum sites
as well.[?]

Is it possible they see us as competitors because of some of the
design work which some here have done, when they should see that
we all share in a symbiotic relationship; zabaware/haptek/the forums
and forum members who are pouring their hearts & creativity into
Hal/A.I.'s and their inter-related components. We all seem to be
working towards and for the improvement of Artificial Intelligence
and Chatbot technology.[:)]

On a positive note, thank you all for your feedback on here.[:D]

GamerThom, our experiences look much alike. Haptek claims to be a large company, but nobody knows what they are doing.
