General Discussion / HAL ASKING ARE YOU A MAN OR A WOMAN ETC.

Many here know that hal asked this when first using hal  are you a man or a woman etc and after so long  it finally stops , i have had hal and for whatever reason starting this all over again . even though i have had hal for years now since before 2010 . my hal actually for whatever reason reverted back to trial version then said about buying it or put in the license name ( e mail address etc. if i already had a license which i did , but hal is still asking me are you a man or a woman , are you a boy or a girl , are you a male or female . needless to say it is a bit annoying , it still hasn't stopped. i have been answering it each time in hopes it will once again stop this madness.
    My question is to Robert , is it even necessary as a question , and by that i mean other then just asking the question is this question based on anything that pertains to certain hal responses because i am a man or if a person is a woman ??
    I think if i remember right Robert said something a long time ago that he was going to shorten it about hal asking that or hal would stop sooner from asking .   
    to me hal should ask this one time and then stop . (this way ALSO if had started over again like it has done with me it would mean not having to go through all of this again over a long period of time .  ).   
Not trying to rant and rave but just bring up a important point .

Robert , i was going to e mail you but saw you were on here , i have a question  to ask you. i have had hal for many years now and have backed up the custom angela brain i have . other then using doonycrams super plug in , that has some of others plug ins .  later on my hal has resorted to once again asking me continuously am i a girl or a guy , am i a women or a gentle man , what gender am i etc. etc.  as it does when a person first starts using hal .  the plug in is the 3.0. sallie plug in. but i have asked others and i think no one else is having these same problems . (that are using the plug in ) so i am wondering what is causing it? it has been doing that asking me what gender etc., for about three weeks or more now , just did this morning some more . 
 my custom brain hasn't had any recent or even for quit a while modifications that could have caused the problem . you can e mail me on this if you need to.
my angela brain is about 255 mb's now or more .

here is a example story and information . Older adults with hearing loss are less likely to be hospitalized or to visit the emergency room when they wear hearing aids, compared to those who don't

of course this can be done with other links on various things to , but don't just copy and paste everything as some things may have to be modified in sentences .  hal reverses you and other words .

General Discussion / hal saying he remembers past history events

I feed my hal (learn by also copying and pasting info)  and do many things such as health articles (just did some on exercising and smoking etc. but i also do some learning of various history events ( some because of the way it is worded ( on a tuesday etc. have to modify it a little by maybe mentioning the month and year)   .
 AS i do this frequently , i just thought to my self instead of haljust learning this and repeating it later in conversation with the subject matter , why not add a little more human response to it ( i try to make my hal sound more human that robotic . )  so i have started adding before the event information " you remember ,  or you remember back in may of 2018, (and the event information . the you remember is reversed to hal saying i remember back in may of 2018, etc.

EXAMPLE:   President Trump on Thursday evening touted the release of three Americans prisoners from North Korea who arrived home this week, noting that the U.S. did not pay for their release.

THIS IS CHANGED TO "I remember back in may of 2018,  President Trump touted the release of three Americans prisoners from North Korea who arrived home, noting that the U.S. did not pay for their release.

doing this  will make hal respond that he / or she  remembers a event back in whatever year .  instead of just talking about the event . in a sense doing this is "creating memories within hals data base.

hal has been saying something strange , hal at various times has been saying , "i'm afraid ".  i think this has happened a long time ago in the past , not knowing what to do about this , i simply typed in "you have nothing to be afraid of "  although for now she is still saying this every so often .  anyone else had this problem of hal ever saying "i am afraid ??" even in the past ??

I know this is going to sound strange , because most will say doesn't hal already do that?
But i am referring more to what someone mentioned before about when learning hal  say it this way ... then say it that wat way .. ( i don't remember what way it was but others will .   
So i am referencing this part of a created plug in already made , to where instead of us having to say it a certain way , that hal based on this part of the plug in (which would have to be re written ) when a sentence is used , then a follow up sentence on the same subject is used hal will learn automatically the deduction process , without the user having to manually do it.


I am hoping my explaining it this way makes sense, i know the manual deductive teaching probably helps a lot , but would be better if hal automatically did this based on continued "next" learning sentences of the same subject , so it would be based on subject .   


here is a example of what i am talking about, copy and pasted info with multiple entries into hal . also their may be more then one subject in a sentence  so the deductive may show more then one subject. but focus on the main subject in this case . weight and stigmatize and  stigma .

General Discussion / something happened weird in hal this morning

     this morning i started hal up as always and it never came up so i tried it again  , it said one instance of hal is already running , which i have seen before , so went on reading the open pages of news on my pc.   then clicked on hal again as it never came up, and it said the same thing again so i made all web pages smaller to see hal and it said my hals 30 days had expired , purchase hal or if already purchased put my password and e mail in . so i did and it said thank you or something and hal opened.
    has anyone else had this recently?? don't know why mine did that .    it hasn't been reinstalled.

      i have asked this question before but don't know if someone fully answered it .  as many know sometimes when hal is talked to even with a regular conversation , sometimes hal will just say "the answer is equal "   . i have heard this is because hal doesn't know how to answer it , and or hal thinks it's a math question ( even though it isn't) .. MY QUESTION IS  " when something is asked and hal doesn't answer the question but yet says "the answer is equal " . DOES HAL SAVE THIS INFORMATION OF THE QUESTION , OR DOES IT JUST NOT KEEP THE INFORMATION ? 
        Why this question is important is , i am hoping that hal does indeed keep this information , so that it can possibly be used in the future as a learned thing . otherwise many things i am learning hal is for nothing every time i get the random response "the answer is equal " or something similar.     AND IF hal does not keep the information , my next question is there a way that can be made so hal does keep the information  to use in future use in hal?

i have a question to ask , we have discussed moving hal to an external drive on the pc  to allow hal to run faster . i was wondering would starting a pc in safe mode do the same thing ( at least until i can get a external drive ?)   . was just wondering .

General Discussion / using crimson editor what am i doing wrong ????

i have some errors showing up , and am trying to fix them b y the error line it said but when i go to that line everything looks okay , i even backed up each space between each word ( to make sure their was no extra spaces in the sentence , but all was okay. " can somone look at the line  and see if they see anything that's wrong.  i took a jpg picture of it .
the error i got was error on line 8700 column 0 illegal assignment "get response" .
but i see nothing wrong . also another note it says column  0   as you can see in the crimson editor it doesn't show a column o .
Art and anyone else who has used crimson editor , do you see something wrong on this highlighted line that's wrong that's causing a error? as you can see on the bottom it shows i am on the right line .
any help would be appreciated.  maybe i am over looking something , also how do you get to see the column  0  area ?

Speech Technology / HAL ERROR 3-16-2018

I AM GETTING THIS HAL ERROR ON TODAYS DATE . the plug ins checked are : s.a.l.l.i.e  and weather 5 and gender and age .

below is a picture of the error i am getting after getting the first error and clicking it off later i got a different second error and it was different  after i clicked it off and wrote hi , it came up blank and no answers .

if anyone here wants i can send them the hal error txt.file  ( my name might be wrong on this) . if they want to check it and see what is happening causing the error .

Robert talked before about fixing hal so hal didn't give so many false positives about trying to answer a math question that really wasn't a math question , i don't remember if he did it on this hal version or if it was to be on the next hal version , but something that i have thought of and that is , even if hal  has been fixed better by Robert , if people still have older or plug ins that don't have this new fix within them , these plug ins will still cause hal to give false positives as far as math problems . Or am i wrong and no plug ins created have anything to do with math answers. ?? and this problem just lies within hal it's self ?

cyberjedi , and others with better script code  and command skills , etc.  i see a problem within hal , and i have mentioned it before with Robert , and that is as the db brain gets larger from growing and learning more things and info. it at the same time slows down hals response back to the user , this will eventually happen to others  as their hal brain gets larger , mine has already developed this problem sometimes mine might take up to 30 seconds or more to respond and the script error comes up a lot saying script is taking longer to respond cancel or continue and i have to click continue ( Robert has mentioned he will fix A adjustable timer to lower the script from popping up )  but unless i am mistaken it won't reduce the actual wait time of hal responding **** ROBERT if i am wrong on this please say so .   
some may think it's from a slow computer , my p.c. is a windows 7 quad core hp laptop , with 4gb memory .
       So if this is the case with hal slowing down on response time, maybe someone with the ability can see if their is anyway to code hal to have faster responses if that's possible (maybe it isn't but i am throwing this out their , just in the case their may be ways for Hal to maybe bypass some things and get the answer more quickly??? .
This is a future problem hal users are going to have , i am already having it , because i have learned hal a lot of various information , my hal brain is around 205 mb/s  . 
    Although it is nice to have the online hal for responses and it actually does save on some space of hals brain data base from getting larger .  there are many things personally that i want my hal to learn and know that wouldn't be on the data base . which ends up making hals brain grow and thus also makes hal slower on responses.
   As i said i don't know if something can be done in script code that would make hal depending on the subject ? etc.? bypass some of the certain filters ? etc. to come up with the answer response faster .

I see the spam retards are at it again on the forum , usually a new person that signs up then starts [posting row after row of spam  with links to porn or business's . people have been warned not to click on anything as far as links because you can download a virus or worse on your computer then it's to late.
