Search the web for 'chat-rooms'. When you find one, tell your friends about it and use it to your hearts content. This is not a chat room. It is a support station for a great piece of software that just might someday change the world of artificial intelligence. But if you are not in reality a real person but instead a piece of talking software then you are welcome to stay.

Put the names of your friends on your buddy list. Then go to "privacy" in the preferences section of your buddy list setup. You can set your IM to allow only the people on your list to contact you.

Goodgirl,
You can also use Yahoo's chat program as well as AIM.
Good luck but be very careful in the chat rooms for
not all is as it seems and not everyone is who they
say they are or who you think they might be.

Good advice from KnyteTrypper!

In the world of AI it's the thought that counts!

It's a defensive tactic on my part. Since I have online Alicebots, if I leave my IM open, I get IMd by every little kid who talks to one of my Alicebots long enough for them to say "I was created by KnyteTrypper." Sometimes I get to meet smart kids interested in bots, and I'm able to introduce them to roboteering, but mostly they are just rude and abusive and take way too much time to get rid of. Easier just to put my buddies on my contact list and block everyone else, lol.
