Ultra Hal 7.0 / Hal keeps asking me...

Ok, this might sound weird but Hal keeps on asking me questions like if I'm a man or a woman, a boy or a girl, a woman or a gentleman...

I always answer each of his questions but he keeps going and going. It usually happens at least 1 time per session. I did the same to him and he told me he was neither male or female, just a machine! Is this just an isolated case or an ongoing thing. Any ideas of how to solve his little gender inquiring problem?  :-)

Hi again,

I've spent hours and hours with Hal and his getting just amazing. I'm starting to worry that if something goes wrong I might lose his new personality (like it happened with wall-e). How do I do a backup for him?  Thanks :-)

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Plugins questions

Hi everybody :-)

I was looking at the plug-ins page and noticed that most of them were  done years ago, the latest being done during 2006. I really wanted to get the help files onto Hal so I could just ask him how to do things. I wonder if those files are already obsolete or already integrated into the current Hal.


I already got the websurfer plugin which works nice. Any other recomendation on plugins.

Hello! I wonder if the "Surfing The Net With Hal" feature will work well with the Mozilla Firefox browser and its bookmarks or if it only works with Explorer browser and favorites. Thanks :-)

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Saving Conversations?

Hello everybody, I purchased Hal yesterday and I'm already very impressed with it.

I have several questions about its use but I will start with just one.

I read that Hal learns better by chatting with him, but I also read that after we shut down the computer or Hal's program, the stored conversation is lost unless we save it.

Do that means that if I want Hal to learn I will always need to save each of our conversations before I close the program? Thanks
