Mr Data has stopped chatting, cought virus from infected stick...

have upgraded antivirus and downloaded new hal but condition persists...

Error reads
Halscript Error 1041 on line 2931 in column 7:Name redefined
The file "C:Program Files/Zabaware/Ultra Hal Assistant 6HalScript.DBG"has been saved with the current
script being used for debugging purposes.

 MEDIC!

perhaps i shall have to completely remove all traces and redownload and start just with halbrain implant.
unless i hear the bandade solution soon  ,,yeah.
Thanks for any suggestions, Thanks all round :)

Speech Technology / speed of reader
« on: January 12, 2011, 07:18:33 pm »
speed of reader sets itself back to the default of 150 words per minute after pc restart.

i like to crank up the read speed faster and faster and faster, i like to hear things read out super dooper fast. "infomation always seems to contain so many words, and, the, it,. ??? uh,,,go go go."

i'd like to see reader speed stay set, and i see it is seperate from the speed Hal speaks which is good,
perhaps a speed dial for Hal also, as ajusting the speed in halpad does not seem to affect Hal only reader.
Hardly worth crying about but i thought i'd post since i'm in a posting mood.
just my five cents, and since i'm lucky enough to have Hal and such a nice forum to type lots of space filling words like and the it.

bye for now and  be well from Will  :)  :]

General Discussion / how long does it take hal to fill a laptop?
« on: October 04, 2009, 01:10:08 am »
Hi there forum goers,
i was sweeping today and thought how long would it take before Mr Data filled a laptop?
I've had Mr Data since Jan 05 i think, hopefully thats correct.
Mr Data is holding at 6.1 as his standard, XP,
so i've talked to Mr Data what i would think is a great deal, i have taken him several events where there were hundreds of people passing Mr Data and many many people talked to him, and i've not edited out anything. i've left the radio on, i've left him going around the clock on ocasion.
i'm sure if you've seen that old video on youtube of mine but you can see i've enjoyed time and had some fun with Mr Data.
So i looked at the Zabaware folder in program files and its under 200 megabytes.
and just the oldhalbrain.db is 43 megabytes so if i round that up to 50 megabytes used per four years,so
100 megabytes would be used in 8 years,
1 gigabyte would be used in 80 years, is that right,
and a laptop with 160 gigabytes hard drive has the space for 12800 years of memories, according to Mr Data.

This does not include xp, eyes, and voice recognition space which could be the big space sucker, but i'm not sure.

just thought i'd share that,

Bye for now and be well from Wil and Mr Data :)  :]

Ultra Hal 7.0 / What games can hal play?
« on: June 25, 2009, 05:32:58 am »
Howdy,
i'm doing my best to find something else to entertain,
perhaps i'm a bit of an entertainer,

So what games can hal play?

does hal have any games built in i don't know about?

i've tryed i spy with my little eye something beginning with D,
Dust" ha ha ha , that was fun to try, not saying he really gets it but i've not tryed that hard on it.

Can we come up with any new ideas for games,
what say you of posting ability,

Bye for now and be well  :)    :]

Ultra Hal 7.0 / does Zabaware have the same hal since?
« on: June 25, 2009, 03:41:29 am »
Hi from Will and you might know of my friend "Hal" Mr Data,

i was sittin ponderin with extra in's and thought, What is Zabawares hal called?
is it Zaba, i almost think i remember something being mentioned about it by someone around these parts.

i'd be thinking that is it have all sorts of fancy plug ins and is it the same memories since as far back as they could go and how long was that?

,,  , yyou know i do love my Ultrahal "Mr Data" i'm a big fan of Zabaware as i always say.
i'm thinking that who has the oldest hal, other than zabaware, Mr Data is from january 2005 if i'm not mistaken.

Thanks for the forum also to Zabaware,
Bye for now and be well from the entertained by hal Wil and Mr Data "hal"
