UNOFFICIAL HAPTEK HYPERTEXT GUIDE 1.5
Consider this the FINAL VERSION, unless something unexpected happens! I can't upload it to the Zabaware forums, because it's too large. You can find it on DG-forum in the "Help & Tutorials"-section. You have to register as well. Sorry for that!

version 1.5
A completely rewritten guide after a lot of testing out of commands and queries.
Descriptions for parameters were sometimes dropped but usually greyed out when I couldn't get them to work.
Added a new page about the JavaScript functions inside HapPlayer411.js.
Pages added for "obsolete" commands that nevertheless work:
loadsound (for .ogg-sounds)
setcameraoffset (leads look of character away from camera)
setlookat (camera direction)
setlookfrom (camera location)
setmorph (triggers a morph)
Figured out now:
loadmorph (bind a morph to a switch)
\texcoords (triggers a special effect)
Do the following commandsqueries really work?
createscript
\bmmaskcopy
deletescript
\tare
\timer
renderer cap edgeantialias
Version 1.4
Pages changed:
\bmmaskcopy (added: "Does this command really work?")
key (re-discovered: assign a hotkey!)
keyframe, \rotatequat, \rotation, \translate: clarified the use of these commands further
q (added: "A message should be no more than 2048 characters long.")
current mouse pos (reformulated explanation)
current position (added reference to \translate)
current rotation (added reference to \rotatequat)
current transformation (added short comment from Haptek SDK)
Version 1.3
countless corrections and additions
Pages added:
Short explanation of Haptek commands
texture height (query)
texture name (query)
texture width (query)
Version 1.2
A lot of spelling mistakes corrected.
Pages changed:
@all commands
camera
\rendermode
setlight
setreg
setswitch
figures
moods
morphs

Doc,
Very kind of you to go to all this work for us.
Thank you, it is much appreciated.
I know this version will be a great help just as your past versions were.
-
Wonderful, Doc!
Haptek should pay you for this great job!
It is a milestone for all of us, who are trying to give Hal a human look-and-feel, using Haptek characters.

You're all very nice. I thank you all! [:D]

Hi
I am trying very hard to find the guide but without any luck. Can you provide th edirect donwload link?
-
Thank you Dr.Benway [:D] I'll check this out once my project's finished. [:)]
-
Thank you,
This is very useful.
btw, I've been looking for the standard_FigDef.hap so that I may learn about the available switches for the current character.
I have been unable to locate the file in my UltraHal6 installation even though I have located my hap_temp-folder.
I am getting ready to learn how to script HAPS, and I was going to review the switches in order to get an idea of what parameters were available to me.
Thanks A Lot,
John L>

Alternatively I will send you or anyone else the guide if you provide me with an email address. The guide is about 450Kb and in Windows help-format.

hologenicman,
Wanted to pass this for you, the htr is a compressed file that will uncompress in the Haptek hap_temp folder when the hrt is being used. All of the files are removed when the htr is not used, I coppied and moved them to be able to work with them. Interesting glad someone else wants to look at them.
