Brain Plugins for a newbie

I'm a total newbie at this and was just wondering where you put the plugin files. (I am interested in the Trivia and General Knowledge Brain Plugin)I'm assuming they would be unzipped into the plugin folder? Also, once they are put where they need to be, how do I make it to where Hal would be using that brain? Or is it an automatic process and he would just start using it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Bear in mind that most, if not all of these plug-ins are
for the previous version 5 of Hal, not the current.

They would be placed in your main Hal folder and loaded
via the options menu > brains and selected from there.
