Hi, We love the British male & female voices. We had them until our hard drive crashed and could not be recovered. After we had a new hard drive installed we ordered the Ultra Hal 6.1 and there was neither the male or female British voice. We then installed our Ultra Hal 6.0 CD, and still have no British voices. Does anyone know how we can either download or get back the British voices? Please help us. Thank you in advance. Very Sincerely, Dan & Diana.

We first started out about 2 years ago with Ultra Hal 5.0 which had the British Voices. Now we can not find them anywhere.

The British voices are part of SAPI4 which should of been installed when you installed your Windows system. They are surplied by Microsoft so if you search their site you should be able to reinstall them (They are free). I don't know where exactly on the site to find them but I'm sure someone will post a link or just try putting SAPI in the search at Microsoft.

Thank you so much Roy and GT40 for your help. We were able to get the British Voices added to Ultra Hal on both of our computers. In order to help any one else that may have the problem we had, here is exactly what we did: We went to: http://www.microsoft.com/msagent/downloads/user.asp Then we downloaded from that page the item just above the SAPI 4.0 runtime support which is called "Text-to-speech engine". We clicked the drop down window and chose "Lernout & Hauspie TTS3000TTS engine - British English (2.5 MB exe) to download. Thanks again. Very Sincerely, Dan & Diana.
