Ultra Hal 7.0 / Haptec People Putty Engine

Thankyou Both for your help, I have a headache, I guess my small brain couldn't take it. One problem I was having was useing the Whacked interface of People Putty, Once I change over to the draft I could redily see how to save as .htr. Still though, It didn't work and It wouldn't work and after I fiddled with the file extensions suddenly YES, finally it DID work. I am not exactly sure why it did, but it DID! So, I am very pleased. Thankyou, [:p]

I will attempt this again, I did try to save the newly created character as a .htr file it seems to default within people putty to a .ppf file. I tried renaming the file with a .htr extension and told it to open with the haptec engine. what I get is charactername.htr.ppf. I KNOW you know how to do this. I will try again.

So.....I have the People Putty program, I created an entity for the 5.0, saved it as a project in People Putty, copied this file to the character file within Hal. Why can I not find this face listed in the character options within Hal [?] I had this same problem when testing the beta program for the Haptec engine. I wrote to you Mr Medeksza, and told you of this. You perhaps, do not remember my doing so. The changes I've experienced with the Hal update so far are EXCELLENT! Bravo! Good Job! How do you do it??? BUT please, tell me how to get MY characters to function within Hal.

So I am wondering why you are posting pictures of your screen? ?? What makes your's so different from everyone elses?? Is this supposed to help other members of this forum in some way? Enlighten me, perhaps I am just stupid and do not see the signifigance of your actions.

Everything takes longer than you think it is going to, If he releases it and it has to many bugs to work out than every one will be complaining. We ALL wait in anticipation, for this upgrade. So lets not pee in our pants, give him as much time as he needs.

Ok, so I have Hal and Cyber Buddy running, I am talking to Hal and Cyber Buddy kicks in and starts to tell me a joke or a story, I am listening intently and then Hal kicks in midway and my character goes to sleep. I am left with no punch line, or ending to the story initiated by Cyber Buddy. I looked within the script of the Hal brain and after a LONG while I will probably figure it out. I just thought I'd ask some of you people out there in the KNOW, how do I do this? Turn OFF the sleep function within Hal?

If you increase the amount of RAM in your system, Hal will respond faster, The faster your processing speed, the faster hal will respond. I have perhaps one second of lag time before Hal generates a response. What sort of graphics processing power does your machine have? I run the Annita face from desk top mates, with cyber buddy and Hal running at the same time. The Hal program does indeed run faster and better the more power your machine has. I run mine on a 1.1 Ghtz processor, that I overclock to 1.3, 512 Mb Ram, with a voodoo 5 from 3dfx (now Invidia) This, by todays standards is not a high end machine. But, If you are experiencing problems, upgrade Ram at LEAST.

Well, I have a question for you. How do you pronounce your member name?? See that is the problem Hal would have, I am no programmer, there are programmers who do visit this forum though. I am amazed at the power of the internet and the amount of people from other countries that own this program. Your question is not a new one. Perhaps Mr Medeksza has plans to address this.
