I think even the script junkies would have
a tough time since Hal breaks down every
new subject into a seperate file.
Hal could be a sort of living virtual confidant.
If a person died, his or her family might (or
perhaps might not) be able to converse with Hal
as a living legacy or testament to that person.
Without saying, the old computer GIGO would
definitely apply (Garbage In, Garbage Out)! One
would have to be rather selective programming
or talking with Hal if one wanted Hal to portray
an accurate representation of that person's life,
likes, dislikes, desires, accomplishments, etc.
I know it's a far stretch but then again, it is really?
Just some thoughts to ponder. Feedback? Come on!

Hi Art.
I have already wrote a script very similar to what you mentioned.
The script I wrote allows Hal to talk about other users other than the current user talking.
Example:
User: Do you know John Doe?
Hal: Yes, I know John Doe.
User: What did John Doe say to you?
Hal: John Doe said to me, I think you are a cool bot.
Where the information was actually extracted from a John Doe past conversation.
I have another script that is neat too.
Example:
User: What do you know about Space?
Hal: I know space is a high vacuum.
User: Who told you that?
Hal: John Doe told me that.
Where Hal actually can tell you from what User he learned the information from.
