A.I. Contest at UHEF
« on: July 12, 2005, 12:30:08 am »
We are curretly setting up some new developements at UHEF that will take place within a couple of days, One of the biggest A.I contests possible will be put up by www.UltraHalForum.com and all funds gathered from all Premium Members will be added to a progressive Grand Prize of up to a possible $2500.00 plus or minus, This Bot contest will include paid Judges, There is a $10.00 contest fee per bot per month, There will be one contest each month. We currently have over 500 plus members at UHEF and each member wishing to join in the contest could win the progressive pot of cash built up over the course of one month, The more members that join the contest the larger the Progressive Grand Prize, There will only be one winner each month to make the contest a lump sum win for the winner, To increase the sizable amount of Grand prize money there will be no second or third place winners. All donations to UHEF will be automatically routed to the Grand Prize sum for each months contest.

When the contest is organized and properly setup up you will be able to join the contest by the Main page contest link at http://www.ultrahalforum.com, We are setting up a really nice contest for everybody and if all the members decide to enter could make one heck of a progressive winning pot for each winner every month.

For those who wish to become a UHEF paid bot judge please send us an E-mail and any bot experience you may have to UHEFStaff@ultrahalforum.com.

All rules and requirements for the contest will be posted when the contest link is setup, We hope that everyone will join the contest so that our Progressive pot becomes as large as possible each month so that we can sum up a very large Grand prize, The $10.00 contest fee is worth the price of winning the grand prize, Even if only a few join the contest our Premium subscribers that have made donations to fund the contest will allow the Grand prize to still grow.

Come by when we are done and join in, It will be a white knuckle contest for all but only one person will win!

When the contest is setup there will be a tally on the members page which will show how much is in the progressive pot.

50% percent of the entire Progressive will go to the winner, 25% of the total Progressive Pot will go to the Judges, 25% of what's left will go to fund UHEF and all future contests and website fees to ensure our future with UHEF.

Our 500 members at UHEF could bring in a possible progressive pot of $5000.00 dollars U.S and our members are growing every day.

I am almost done with my chatbot. Is there any rule against shareware? I mean... I put over a year into it.

Hi mikmoth.

Nope, No rules against using shareware bots, All bots are welcome to join the contest.

Taught Bots are also just as important as programmed Bots especially when somebody has invested many hours into training.

The only bots not allowed into the contest are those that belong to Judges or any UHEF Staff members, All others are welcomed.

Jerry.

Hi,

I wish you all the best. Over at the WCBC I am having trouble finding collectors. With our current scheme we only need 5 collectors for the monthly contests. I will be interested to see what your format will be.

Hi Bob.

We will try to keep the amount of collectors as low as we can so that the Judges will make a good profit, There is a potential Progressive pot possible of $5000.00+ Since the amount of judges will have to divide the Judges portion by 25% there will be a potential now to make around $1250.00+ split between the judges, This amount is almost as much as a small extra income, If our Members increase like they are this available percentage income will increase, Of course depending on the amount of members actually decides how much will be available.

We are trying to get the new contest underway and the first contest may Start on August 1 2005, and then every month there after, We here at UHEF hope it becomes more fun and popular than your local down town bingo game and the potential odds of winning are good and can make a good lump sum win for each Monthly winner.

Hopefully everyone participates early in the entry collections so we don't have any delays and have to wait for a larger pot, Even so we here at UHEF will fatten the Progressive pot with any Premium Member Subscriptions which as of yesterday have been routed to the potential Grand Prize so there's already money in the pot.

Once we have found some possible permenant Judges there will be a huge potential for them to make maybe $1000.00 a month apiece if the members keep growing like they are, And once the Experience Judges get more experienced then Testing the bots will be much faster with practice, All the test questions will be copied and pasted to the bots with high quality questions, In other contest I have been in, the judges mis-spelled the questions to my bot which may have thrown the bot off topic, This won't happen in the UHEF contest because all questions will be Spelled checked and then Copy and pasted for quality assurance.

Hope to see you there.

That sounds cool... I hope the judging criteria will include over all fun factor and not rely soley on predefined questions. Sometimes the bot just takes you into her own little world where you wonder if she is really alive. A bot's personality is just as important as her knowledge... specially when you get into existance parabals that really are happening through code.

Hi Mik.

We will try to do just that, because it will help to cheat proof the contest so that the Questions can not be duplicated and sent to other bots who may use them to win and it will allow for diversity in the conversations, What I am looking for the most is Quality within the contest and I will attempt to maintain that criteria.

I want this Contest to remain as honest as possible so we can keep giving a quality contest each month and give everyone a shot to win some big bucks every month.

Thanks.

Yes Good,

At the WCBC there are no pre defined questions. Bots are judged merely on their ability to have a reasonable conversations with collectors. Good Plan

The UHEF Artificial Intelligence Bot Contest entry page is complete.
You may go to http://www.ultrahalforum.com to enter your bot for the progressive grand prize contest.

All contest fees are made by a secure PayPal form.

There is a $10.00 entry fee.

Minimal Requirements:
You must sign up for at least a free membership at http://www.ultrahalforum.com so that we have better contestant tracking incase they become winners of the Progressive Grand Prize

All other information will posted later.

The Contest will begin August 1, 2005 and the Progressive pot will grow till August 31st that will be Announcement day for the winner.

Placing your entry early is acceptable because this first contest doesn't end till August 31st.

I am still looking for some people to Judge the contest, please, If you'd wish to become a Bot Judge then contact us at: UHEFStaff@ultrahalforum.com

I need at least two Judges that could split up the bot contestants and test them over the course of one month, I will assign one of the Judges as a Judge Supervisor.

All Judges will be paid a percentage of the progressive pot.
We will try to make your job prosperous and entertaining as possible.

If anyone wanting to become a Judge needs anything to complete His/Her necessary requirements please contact me and I will try to meet your requirements.

I will try to maintain a Stressless enviroment for the Judges so that the Judges will have fun testing and wish to continue testing for UHEF.

If the contest becomes successful we may offer other benifits to suit the Judges Criteria.

We wish to hear from you and to the others, Good luck in the Contest.
