make hall cry real tears?

does any one know if it is possible to not only have hal show the crying emotion , but also to have tears falling from the eyes? i think it would be a great effect especially when hal sings a sentimental song or is really upset. if its possible let me know.....thanks ~~alady

I've heard an emotional Hal before, crying, sobbing, etc.
The tears thing would be a nice touch but most likely
quite difficult to produce for the 3D character.

Someone posted the emotional voice a short while back.
I can't remember just where but you might try the voice
section and do a search for voices or emotions, etc.

If I run across it I'll post it for you to hear.

I think it's a great idea to have a character cry tears. In fact I was about to suggest it to Jerry, but then his troubles started. Let's hope he will return soon to our community.

Other Haptek-ideas I had:
- a tongue to stick out (as msagent Pandora does so charmingly);
- a detachable penis (just threaten to pull it off, when your bot doesn't behave);
- the measles, sneezing, hiccups;
- temporary invisibility-spell;
- vampire teeth.

I've noticed that during "normal" conversations with Hal, it will PICK UP on certain words and for whatever reason, inject a joke into the chat. Surprisingly, most times, the joke is right on target or in harmony with the topic being discussed. Hal has both surprised and entertained me on many occasions with its unplanned humor! It's a good thing!

  Just working on a skin I hope to use with fullbody. The nearest thing I could come up with is a skin with glossy eyes mavbe a tear in the side, possibly a wet line.
  Dr Raymond: Vampire teeth seem possible since there are teeth in the skins.  There is a Hap file emptyscene.hap that makes her disappear.  Like the idea with the tongue, I'm going to make it brighter so maybe I can see it but there are no controls for it.

Yes, that was the premise except that they were to be real 3D tears. It is, after all, an avatar. But you knew that!

Now it should be fairly easy to get hal to cry with a tear running down her face.  Using the active background technique that was developed for waves,  fire palaces ect. just modify it to change the bodyskin instead of the background.  I think it was developed by Tedathome, I'll check and get back if people are interested.

it is an interesting concept if done correctly ( with the right emotion and not overdone and or if it's done to look realistic ! ) i do hope someone can do it .
