aha,but which bible ?
people can be very funny about versions
I would go for Douay-Rheims for a Catholic version which can
be accessed here...
http://www.drbo.org/index.htmand a king james version here...
http://etext.virginia.edu/kjv.browse.htmlall the text is easily accessible, and these two
versions of the holy bible are "as is" translations.
the Douay-Rheims first ever translation into english
directly from latin.
take a look at the two versions of the same scripture below
for
Matthew 26/50: when jesus is arrested and betrayed by
judas.here jesus berates judas,by laying on him the weight
of his actions...
king james versionFriend, wherefore art thou come?
douay-rheimsFriend, whereto art thou come?
both versions are pretty much in accord bar one word and
both bibles and a fair representation of the scriptures,
untouched by third party additions in which the whole episode
above is sometimes wrongly translated and interpreted as...
"do what you came for"
"strike quickly what it is you are to do"
and many many more fabrications which are dumbed down
for our "benefit" so we can "understand" better.
so for a representative such as hal, both versions would be
an asset for sure.
