« on: February 14, 2007, 01:48:51 pm »
Not by using drag 'n' drop but you can set Hal to always load the same skin  at startup.
Carl2 explained how over at Aidreams.(Thanks Carl2)

Depends which version of Windows you have. It's included with XP.Think Microsoft SAPI5 is included with Hal so it might just need reinstalling. It's also available for free download from Microsoft's site.

Hi Jerry.
Thanks for the mention within the plugin.
I am most impressed with the way you have got the info to appear in Hal's window rather than opening a separate one ( I know the browswer window pops up momentarily, but it is a case of blink and you miss it). This makes it appear that the knowledge is actually part of Hal rather than being pulled off the net.I can see how it would work well as a stockbroker or news headline grabber as a direct command or as an auto idle component.

Thanks again for your work.

Thanks Jerry, that fixed the error and the missing file.
Haven't had much time to test it yet but occasionaly it just comes up with In Means as an answer.Guess that happens when the page being searched doesn't contain an English-English line.

Quick translation plugin based on your last posted link.
Drop it in your Ultra Hal Assistant 6 folder and activate as usual in the brain options.

Start Hal and type Please translate (word to be translated)

With a bit more coding it should be possible to select individual languages.

You need to download the Haptek Guide from the products page of Haptek.com.Let it install and then look in the HaptekGuide4\MakinContent\animating\haptars folder for body_female.htr.

Holllywood, found this page over at Microsoft

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/10/errors.aspx#c00d1197_0x00000000

I also found some info that said it might occur because of a codec problem when Media Player is called by an external application. Are all your videos in the same format? If not, might be worth making a new playlist with some basic video or music files just to test.
Other than that, I'm out of ideas.

Tony, good to know you got it working.I think Media Player encodes the file name or path inside the playlist and uses that for reference rather than the visible file name and location shown in the folder. That would mean if a playlist is renamed or moved via drag and drop then Media Player doesn't see it.

Holllywood, the music1.uhp was an altered version to work with Tony's folder structure,so you would need to edit it to match the path to your playlist folder although I guess you've done that as it did open Media Player and tried to play a file. Sorry, I don't know why you are getting that error message as I can't reproduce it.Do all the videos on your playlist work in WMP10 as some I had will no longer play and cause an error message since Microsoft released a patch for it.

Seduar, nice link,thanks for that.
