Thanks for the feedback.

Problem #1 Unknown in the greeting was fixed in release 2.03
Somehow the code behaved oddly after compilation.

Problem #2 also fixed.
That one was on purpose... just to see if someone would give me a feedback. [:D]
Just kidding...
I'm working on a Sony vaio ux280p, you should see the size of the keyboard. I missed the W. [:p]

Katlyn's request was also added.

There also some weird bugs like the [Don't say that] button disappearing when you disable the ms-agents that will also be addressed.

And I included a split help screen to read the Readm.txt and Changes.txt files.

It's much better to work when you guys participate with your ideas.

Who knows this might make David jealous or proud and make him come back to raise Answerpad and reclaim his kid. [;)]

Thanks

Thank you David for your time put into AnswerPad.
A good job for you would be to setup a web site and charge something $19.95 for Answerpad .Cause I would pay
and that would help you out a bit from what I read above.[:D] ..(Just a thought), then you could stay out of that tree.[:D]
(Not intended to hurt anybodys feelings but it"s be free since 1991, and the man has to make a living).

DAVIDWHALLEY and everyone working with answerpad,

I would like to suggest that since this is zabaware forum for
Ultra Hal, this topic of discussion concerning the development
of Answerpad should be moved over to my own forum. Just to be
fair and respectful of Robert M. & Hal. I have a category there
for discussing A.I. and chatbots. Then Answerpad would sort of
have a home of its own, since I am already hosting the down-
loadable files for it on my site. I could put a direct page link
attached to the topic header going to the Bot Archive where the
files are for Answerpad are listed. Most of the people here who
are taking part in helping DAVIDWHALLEY develope the software
further are already members on my forum. All that would be
required is for DAVIDWHALLEY to also register as a member there.
I have created a new forum header on my forum under the category
of "General Discussions". It is the "Answerpad Development Forum".

Please post your thoughts on this suggestion. Thanks.

Here is the link to my forum -

OK Gamer-T

I'm in... and so is Adamus.

One problem, I couldn't get my Icon to appear on your forum, it is the same I used here. Can you fix that?

And for all of you I think I have a good surprise.

See you guys there.

markofkane,   If, after trying the old Answerpad, you would
like to continue with it and help test out future versions of
it and help with developing it further please come over to my
Character Creation & Design Forum. That is where we have moved
this topic to, and it is where all future discussions concerning
it will be held. You can find us at -

http://www.vrconsulting.it/ccdforum

Hope you'll join us on this project. The same invitation
applies to anyone else interested in helping to develope
a new, more versatile version of Answerpad.

AnswerPad version 2.02 works well for me on a -

1 GHz PII
Windows 2000 Professional ver. 5.0.2195
265M Ram

Although I don't have time to test AnswerPad as thoroughly as I might like to, it does seem to pick up phrases and styles of speech as you speak with it, learning new information (in an otherwise fairly empty brain) on the first or second mention.

Having the individual files as open text appeals to me, but I would like to see what happens behind the main EXE too.

Unfortunately, having already committed so much of my effort to Hal, I don't think I will be joining the discussion of a new bot, until one shows up which is a completely open source Chatbot/Assistant.

What I would like to see is a Bot that could be used as a Windows Shell, but I am sure that's asking too much.

Bill,

Answerpad source code is at http://www.answerpad.s5.com/

Below the download box is a smaller box for the source code. "Might be David" has made a few changes, but I'll bet this is what he started with.
