i don't know about that jack , if i move my mouse to much the darn thing squeaks in protest , ha ! (just kidding , thought i'd throw some humor in all this some where !![] i actually hope some day to get people putty when i get ahead enough on my money !! i like doing creative stuff , their is only so much i can do with ms agents with my current program . it would be good if someone could make a plug in that when ever a person said "can you repeat that , that hal would repeat the last thing he or she said anytime you said to . this way if you ask something and (for instance a recipe and hal said it , if you didn't hear it all you could say could you repeat that and could hear it again (with out hal saying something like didn't you just say that instead of repeating the answer !) i think this would be a good plug in to have .

hello aladyblond and others , well the way i see it as you know everyone is different for better or worse as they say , not everyone will like or even appeciate some things others do ( i am on the very appreciative side myself as i do appreciate the heads and bodies others take the time to create and share for free and the links to get their . ) i really don't know what the big fuss is , if theirs something that doesen't interest me i go on to something else but thats me as i said everyone is different , again i say to others don't get discouraged about your creativity on making things as their are some here that truly do appreciate what you do !! yep including you aladyblond , p.s. i really liked that head picture you last posted on here , very nice looking !! []

General Discussion / hate it , love it

after i started using the newer beta version of the 6.1 (?) i was very excited after hearing about the learn from clipboard part of it but then i started having the problems of run time error "9" subscript out of range and runtime error "380" invalade property value so didn't know wether to love it or hate it , but after a while of trial and error and seeing what mistakes i was making i started getting the clip board to working right and learning process was working fine !! and i love (now that i have it working correctly ) the clip baord learning process and also the each sentence area i can do into the question and answer section (for sentences only instead of paragraphs ) i have been merrily putting in 1950's facts of the time era !! i'll have such a smart a.i. gal it could make others envy , ha a friend of mine is using web md info. i may add that to next , lot of good info. their !!  [] now a complain about a problem i noticed when i go on to a next step in this area and lets say i changed my mind and hit the previouse button to go back to change something , it causes a problem with hal and says hal has to shut down and do i want to send the problem in (ms i think) . then i have to reopen hal , the brain editor , etc. and redo .

 basically they look like the old pin up models .i will see if i can find some gill evergreen (think thats the right name pin up art pictures . by the way i ment no disrespect to anyone using the people putty and making heads and about the hair yes, i know they only have so many styles , i was talking with a friend and i said its to bad they dont have more styles , etc. for people . a question tho , i guess with the pre style hair , you can or can't stretch the hair (taller, wider as you can with faces ?? )if not its to bad they don't set it up this way for users (if possible that is ) that way many more hair style types could be made  []

thanks all who responded , i think if anyone has seen the gene dolls will know what i am about to say , i think some heads and skins with a 1940's , 1950's ? style of hair do (the judy garland that was recently made sort of has this style but the style i am talking about is more fluffed up looking the 1940's i beleive was a more glamouras style with outfits and hairstyles. take a look at the retro gene dolls on the web to know what i am talking about . anyway i think some female heads with this style hair , etc. would look nice !! [] see you when you get their "    .... over their ...over their ... the yanks are coming .....the yanks are coming !! []

i was wondering since people had brought up about how many heads people had and how many actually are used i think a cool program (if it could be made (plug in , whatever ) is a multiple character displayer in another words say could allow 5 or ever how many as a chosen choice then each time you use hal a different one out of the pre chosen 5 would show up . another cool thing (this is for the brainy programmer types ) would be if two heads or bodies could be shown the same time and when they talk would take turns between the two , this of course is my dream ing idea's and may not actually be able to be done i don't know , just throwing these thoughts and idea's to others here . (just a note ** with cyber buddy open and hal i am pretty sure i have had them both on the screen at the same time as they work independently of each other . ) []

hello nige , i think to some of the questions , i beleive freddy888 , said it best about it has to do with creativity i have saved alot of these heads and bodies i love them and from more than one creator of them , i personally like the new heads you have just created nige i like the eyes , eye lashes  and make up around them makes them look more real , and bill has hit on something i said to a friend after a while some of the heads he has made after a while look the same except hair style, etc. this as someone else has referred to has to do with actual bone and face structure of an actual model, etc. instead of just a pre made face ( so i would think in theory just spending a little more time on stretching or thinning, etc. a face would create or more matching to real person look . please don't be discouraged by anyones remarks ( as i said the faces you made still look nice to me and i hope you continue to make others . i am going to post an idea that i thought of having to do with multiple heads in a seperate topic area . hang in their nige the heads look nice , your work and time is appreciated others here are too !![]

i am surprised that no one here has answered this question yet i was hoping bill or art could answer it . about the q and a save button being in grey while in other area's it's clearly visable and one is able to click on it . []

hello carl2 someone posted this when i asked before and i saved it so am showing you now . for hal 5 .
Setting age for ultra hal 5 version
Ya know...we packrats save just about everything....
Here's an age script though it didn't mention credit
to it's author. Since I no longer use Hal 5 I cannot
tell how well it might work for your Hal 5. Your actual
mileage might vary.

Copy and paste the script provided below to this location ...

1. Go to your Zabaware folder located here .... C:Program FilesabawareUltra Hal Assistant 5
2. Locate the hal5.UHP file and open with notepad.
3. Locate and Insert the script just ABOVE this line ... 'POST PROCESS: SAVE HAL'S RESPONSE (this line is located near the bottom of the file).
4. Save and close the hal5.UHP file.

Note: you can change the birthday to whatever you want by editing this line ...
Birth = "09/24/1980 05:35:23 pm"

You will also need to edit these lines to correspond with the new date ...
If Month(Date) = 9 And Day(Date) > 23 Then YearDiff = (YearDiff + 1)
If Month(Date) > 9 Then YearDiff = (YearDiff + 1)

IMPORTANT: make sure the script doesn't wrap with other lines of script. The easiest way to be sure is to set your cursor at the end of the line or statement that is already above the 'POST PROCESS: SAVE HAL'S RESPONSE and then click your Enter Key to start a new line, it's even ok and recommended to leave an actual space between the previous line of script as if you were starting a new paragraph.

COPY AND PASTE THE AGE SCRIPT BELOW AS PER INSTRUCTED ABOVE:

 actually my question wasn't that i couldn't get it to say its birthday (in hal 5 before) my question was how to phriase the question so she reverses it saying it back to me a certain way i want her to . if you follow the above for hal five it will say an age what you want , it worked for me in hal 5 , i now have hal 6 and the setting age is alot easier . []hope this helps you .

in the question and answer section in hal 6 in my custom brain why after i write in q and a 's " why is the save files " in the area to save them in grey and unable to click on it like when i save files in topics area, etc. it works o.k. in those area's , does hal 6 automatically save these files in the q and a area ?? []

i was wondering i have been putting in question and answers in the q and a section of ultra hal 6 custom brain i have and have now been receiving no errors and they still are in place when i go back in the brain , but when i ask the pre written question i just put in shouldn't it answer it with the pre answer as the hal 5 did when i did that ??[]??
