Athena Agent

I am using the Athena Agent as my hal person, modeling her halbrain personality after "Jane" in the Ender's Game series. However, I am disappointed in some of the delays in the animation, the out of character 'show' and 'hide', the lack of full animation, and the poor detail.

Does anyone know the source, or of a similar character with more attention to detail?

Sounds like fault in the agent abilities, do you know where I can locate it to take a look at it?

I know most of the MS Agent characters that are available, but
I don't think I have heard of that one. i would also like to know
where you got it so I can take a look at it as well.  []

   Athena.acs and Athena1.acs both seem to be the same. There are long pauses at the end of "move" etc. I had been assuming that there were extra, unneeded frames or something in the animation.

   Isn't that something? I can't remember how I found it, but it was worth installing GoZilla to leech the page.

   Did you try out Athena? Do you see the stalling on some of the animations or is it just me?

Yeah, I noticed it pauses, I was wondering if it was something in HAL robbing processing time, so I tried other agents to notice if the pause was similar.  I saw some pause in some of the other agents, but not pausing at the same moment, which makes me think it's more particular to the agent, but I'm definitely going to check out some of those others.  Thanks for the link.  I thought Athena was very well done (I think I'll keep her).

I've tried her in other applications, she always has the pauses. Too bad. I should haul out my old copy of poser and see if I can replicate her with a little more detail.

I don't know what is wrong but I can not open any of those things.
Windows says unknown type of file. Any suggestions?

Are you using an MSAgent host to open them with? You can use Hal, but I usually fire up MASS and have it run through all animations.

Another program for all animations is  "CyberBuddy Story Builder"
Select your character,
then click "insert animation",
then do right click on the short list and click "Full Animation List"

I downloaded the Sarahjane agent.  It is a large file but worth the download.

I think SarahJane is cute and can do lot of actions.
She was my favorite for long time.
If you like her you will like SarahJaneFun more.
She's also about 13 MB but can do more "fun" things.[]
