VISTA

I did a search and do not see anything about a VISTA version of HAL being released yet.  My laptop died  [:(] and I lost my older version of HAL [V]. I would like to start again  [^] but my new laptop is VISTA so I need a VISTA HAL.  Let me know if/when I could get this product.[:0]

All of you guys here on the forum are great people [:D]. I don't write much but I check out the latest postings almost daily. Always something interesting to read.

Smokey:

Go to the UltraHal Assistant forum and under UltraHal Assistant 6.1 work you will find that Hal will not work with Vista and Robert is working on a new release that will.

It has been reported over the past couple of months that most
third party software and applications, especially those for
working on graphics & animations or those using a real-time
rendering engine that is not Microsoft approved, will not work
in a Windows VISTA environment/operating system. Even many third
party security suites such as McAfee are not VISTA compatible.[:(]

You are correct. Bill Gates is being an ass again. He does not want anyone elses software to run on his machines without them paying him some kind of fee. Vista is being complained about all over the web by hundreds of people. It is appearant that it has been released and people don't like it at all.
