General Discussion / Info for HAL
« on: August 01, 2005, 01:39:01 pm »
does anyone have any good Informational types of files for HAL?
Maybe History type files
How to do thing type files
Recipe type files.

I mean if you can ask hal anything. He could return with good information rather than asking the user about what the user has just asked...

what do you guys think?

I would like to know if HAL has the ability to search for accurate infromation from the web or some other source.

I know Hal can get users requests.

IE, What is the weather? The weather is 64 Degrees and warm.

but is there a way Hal can get information like this:

IE. What verus in the bible talks about noah?

What type of plants can grow in warm weather?

What is the news today?

What is on channel 6 at 8pm?

-------------------------------------------------

something like this? Or are there other bots / programs out there which will?

does anyone have a smart brain or a file that has a whole bunch of true data?

that way, when asking a question you get a true response...

i guess i am looking for hal to respond smartly.

What i mean is if it does not know the answer, it can search somewhere to get it.

basically hal would answer lots of questions which would be asked in many different ways.

do you think this brain can handle this?

ex.
how many new emails do i have in my hotmail account?

what is the weather like?

do a search for whatever.

i want to write a letter.

what is this formuala?

what are the steps to do this?

how do i build a deck?

things like this.

thanks!

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Teaching Hal (ideas that can be used)
« on: December 04, 2003, 05:59:03 pm »
Are there any good ideas on teaching Hal than that what was mentioned so far?

Also, I know hal can read text documents, etc.   What he reads, does he rememeber?

If so, you could give it a dictionary.txt and he can scan through it and rememeber it?

Are there basic Text files that teach basic learning principles?

Like what does HOT mean... and what HOT can be connected with?

I am just thinking of faster ways to get HAL to be more informational.

thanks for the help!

Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / Antyone heard from doc220?

Do you think we can help HAL learn on his own as this person stated?

How hard would it be...

If we can make it work?

Programming using the Ultra Hal Brain Editor / Hal knowing your system
« on: December 01, 2003, 09:07:33 am »
Is there a script or way, which HAL can know your system. By that, I mean he knows when your Automatic Updates are ready to be installed, He knows all the programs and program names on the system, ( that way you can call up what ever program and hal does not say that he can not find it. ) Hal can open any drive on your system, Hal can play any songs of MP3's that have the same artist or by song type. As you surf the web, he can give suggestions on where to search, He can reboot or turn off your system, if you say so.

Even though Hal freeware comes with no voice recognition engine, What voice recognition program would you recommend to use HAL with, MS, Dragon, Voice Studio 2003, IVOS?

Thanks for the help!
