Title: Need to know VB code for Hal 5.0

Dear Friends:
I've been having problems with my Hal 5.0 CD (Please see extensive posts under the
Ultra Hal Assistant Forum; Error 76... etc.). A knowledgeable computer person in my
city suggested I install the same visual basic code which was used to program Hal in
my computer to solve these problems.
Question 1: Can anyone tell me which form of VBScript was used to create Hal 5.0?
Question 2: Would VBScript Version 5.6 be likely to work?
Question 3: Could installing VBScript 5.6 (scripten.exe) or another visual basic code
possibly harm my computer?
The computer in question is an HP laptop with a 1.87 Ghz Athlon CPU and Windows XP Home Edition (It's almost brand new).
