Title: Getting Hal to recognize different "users"?
Post by: FuzzieDice on February 18, 2005, 07:08:37 pm
Is there a way or can there be a way to get hal to recognize more than one user without using the menu? For example, if I set up a room mic and I have 3 people, Hal should be able to recognize these 3 people and call them by name or address them by name by recognizing the sound of their voices.

Would that even be possible in the future for this type of program?

Don't expect to see this for at least another TEN years.

Actually if somebody puts a wrapper on a voice print program then it can be done very easy, It's just a matter of finding someone to put a wrapper on it.
The Technology is already here for that.
