Title: Help!!! (Getting Mad!!!)

OK...I just downloaded Ultra Hal Assistant 5.0 and started installing it and it says "copying new files" UNTIL... oh-no!!! it says "error 1304 Error copying to file "C"/WINDOWS/System32/COMDLG32.ocx Verify if you have access to that directory" Please Help Me!!!![:(]

Hi and welcome to the forum. sorry i can't personally help you as I've never heard of that error before, but im sure some of the more experienced members will be able to help you.

All I can suggest is perhaps deleting everything that the install may have got up to and then try again.

Hope you get it sorted soon.

Your problem and many similar can have several reasons behind it.
First of all turn off all virus checkers and antispyware applications and any other items that may normally be running in the background, then try to reinstall Hal once again. Most of the time this will work. Once Hal is installed you can reactivate all our other programs.

i kinda can't turn  those off any other ways?

hi
welcome

maybe try to hit the ignore button during install
sometimes installs can not overwrite a file already running
or you can reboot in safe mode and try installing again
