I just did a virus check and found in
C:Documents and SettingsHalApplication DataSunJavaDeploymentcachejavapiv1.0jarcount.jar-67a1a66d-471b09fb.zip<BlackBox.class>
and two other similar locations, the trojan :-
Java.ByteVerify!exploit.
Does Hal have a trojan? I find this hard to believe. What is going on?

What virus scanner you use?? I use Avast.
I will do a scan after awhile. I did a full virus scan before boot yesterday morning, but not after installing the latest version of Hal and the expansion pack.

This is the first scan I have done for a while so not sure when I got trojan. I am now running the new Hal. My virus program is E-trust anit-virus.
I was shocked to see Hal come up.

I always keep Norton Antivirus and Norton Internet Security active, and I did not receive any warning.
Maybe that virus was already there.

Make sure you have the latest Sun Java and make sure you run windows updates.
I did a boot-time scan, and it found no problems.
Also, did you verify the virus file was in that location??
Good luck!!

SOLVED!!!!!
I cannot believe how unbelievably stupid I am!!!!!!
HAL is the also the user name I use to get into my computer. These entries were referring to my pc's user name only!
It has only just clicked with me. Because I only just loaded Hal up I assumed Hal had a virus.
I feel really silly.........
Very sorry.
