Neil, this is beautiful.

Yes, I knew you could do it.
Just beautiful.
Giant leap forward.
And good lipsync as always.
I called my wife in to watch.
Its one of her favorite songs.

I use to watch Star trek with Capt Kirk and Doc and Scotty and Mr Spock.
Thought it was great.    Couldn't get any better.

Then next thing I know is there is  "Star Trek, The Next Generation"
It was supposedly couple hundred years later so
didn't mean next "generation of people" but of "technology".

In the same sense, Neils movie is the next "generation" of our video technology.
Our Haptek characters will sing and dance in front of active backgrounds of active waterfalls, or flowing rivers or ocean waves beating upon a beach.

You will see rush hour traffic, trains, and people pass by our characters.   And some people may stop to watch or speak.

What I am saying is:

The Next Generation is Now.

Great job Neil.[8D]  My son was watching and said, she just pops up and why does her arm go through her body like that.  Just some[:D] of the details we have to deal with.  I haven't figured it out yet, but maybe you'll enlighten us with how you accomplished this breakthrough. Definitely very cool.[^]

New ideas always intrigue me so while Neil sleeps today (its night in Australia) I'm playing with his project.
I made a little video (only 2 mb) and put up on server.
It's made just for fun, and the name of it?
Of course it's "Just for Fun"

Dan,
Sandee says, "that's the advantage of being a bot".
A cool sight is putting two haptars in a window and have them pace back and forth.  They keep walking through each other.

Enjoy

[8D]    Thank's again for your comments.
Smokey--- The DVD will be out shortly?? ( Ha! Ha! )
Dusky---- You to kind [:I] You maka me blush,
I liked your little sequal, very well done.
Dan---  Tell your son that the reason her arms go through her body
is--- because they can ( bad joke!!!! )

Reason= ( i think )because she is walking & also there is an ogg  playing, the body is trying to do 2 different sets of movements at once.
There is a line you can enter into the hap file to stop all her natural movements which lets you put in your own, but i haven't got it to work yet. ( line below )
setmood [action= [switch= GestureMaster M=sleep]
If anyone would like more info, all ya gotta do is ask?
Just saw your post
Alady----the bk ground was a short film, which i cut & pasted about 20 times, put a transition between the lot then saved.

Neil,

I like that, because she can (LOL)...Did you call frame by frame to get the background movement?  If so it sure looks fluid.

Hi Dan,
The background is a short movie, which i coppied & pasted a few times to get the length i wanted, then in movie maker added a transition in between the clips so as to get them to flow more evenly.
Neil.
