Title: Mouse Touch on Haptar
Post by: Duskrider on November 29, 2006, 07:39:34 am

I don't know why anyone would want a fly on their desktop but anyway I have one and so do a number of you.

I don't usually notice him unless he lands on a letter I'm writing.
He's a tiny program, only 60 kb, but he's aware of my curser and I can chase him around the desktop.

Wonder if there's any way we can make our haptar aware of the curser?
Either to like it or want to avoid it, don't matter, but to be aware of it on her.

I don't like that pesky fly, how about this command from the Haptek Guide:

current mouse pos

Gets the mouse position in the haptek window.
note that this does not track the mouse outside of the window for the
haptek character.

the format of the string returned is
"X Y nX nY"
where X and Y are integers
and  nX and nY are normalized floating point values between 0 and 1.
"14 296 0.046667 0.986667"

I can see it now (STOP TICKLING ME WITH THAT THING, or DON'T TOUCH ME THERE).

I hope you took the precaution of scanning it
for nasty little bugs before letting it install. [;)] [:D]

Always good to be alert.
And those who claim to "protect us" must be watched.

I'd seen a character in a window that would follow your mouse around on the internet quite a while ago. Female whom I thought was rather cute and I liked the way she would move her whole body to follow the mouse around. I tried finding her again but was unable to do it.

I saw one like this recently, some sort of a Doctor looking thing who was advertized to give you a psychological profile. I didn't try it, because it was web only or something. But it would follow your mouse around with it's eyes and head. I think it was on a page advertizing web assistants for sale.

Ah, here he is... http://www.alicebot.org/claudio.html

There's a link that might be your female.
