Title: Video, all my creation!!

I used an online keyboard to create the music, and then made re-recordings, adding instruments as I went along.

)

The only things I did not create were the original JPEGS, the Johnny Cash song, or the notes for the song.(I saw Close Encounters on TV last night, and it inspired me)

Thanks, Jack is a lot more of a professional, I am very amateurish.

Here's the keyboard.

http://www.bgfl.org/bgfl/custom/resources_ftp/client_ftp/ks2/music/piano/index.htm

I cannot read notes like words. I have to look at the sheet music and determine by the position on he note, as to what they are, and write the note above it. (ABCDEFG)

On the Treble Clef, it's F A C E in the spaces, or, on the lines it's EGBD   (from bottom to top)

On the Bass Clef, it's A C E G in the spaces, or GBDF on the lines (from bottom to top)

(I hope I remembered right)

It gets tricky below and above the lines.

The Close Encounters theme is DEC  (then another C, one octave down)and G

So it's DECcG[:D][:D][:D]

Many thanks for the link and the howto. Nice piano with drums. One of the dreams of my life is to play piano like Jerry Lee Lewis. I'm afraid my keyboard'll be broken before tomorrow. [:D]

How do you make re-recordings? A music soft? I'm interested (if not secret).

I just use Windows Sound Recorder, included in XP (not sure about other versions)

I make a recording of playing one instrument.(Audio properties--Recording-- Check "What U hear", then ok.) Then save the file as a wav. Play the wav in Windows media player, and play another instrument at the same time while recording. And save. and so on.

As a retired musican, I mostly played by ear. It was faster for me,
but I could tell by the position what note it was.
I love it when you share. You are very unselfish and so talented you
don't have to worry anyway.

Thanks, all. I, could learn some songs on my own, but simple songs. I get frustrated trying the right combinations of notes to get it to sound right. But mostly, I cannot distinguish notes. They all sound the same to me, except the pitch. Do Re Mi can be said by me in the same key, lol. I can whistle songs easily, but cannot hit the right notes on an instrument, without learning the right combinations.[8D]
