Cool - I especially liked the under-sea bits [8D] I was just wondering has anyone done a head/torso whatever of Elvis yet?
-
I did early on in my work. It turned out okay, but I'd like to see if I could do better some day.

That is pretty good, Jack! thankyouverymuch!!!
Looks like a good young Elvis. Back when he was the groundbreaker, and made being a man really cool.
( I wish I had his looks and personality of that time)
-
very cool looks good
-
I wish I had some of his money. I wouldn't pee it away on girls and pills. But maybe guitars.
-
Thats a nice likeness...thanks for digging him out...no pun intended cos that would be cruel..[:0]
I agree with Mark and many others - the man was a living legend.
On this subject did anyone see the "World's Greatest Elvis" competition recently ? It was shown here in the UK but I am not sure if it was shown in the US. Basically it was between some of the best Elvis impersonators in the world.
Anyhows, the guy that won it was unbelievable - he looked and sounded just like Elvis, it was quite spooky, almost like he had been reincarnated. His name is Shaun Klush.
I found it on YouTube:

You'll find more videos of him there too.

Cruel but funny, never liked the guy. That guy looked a lot like him.
-
Looks not like I remember him,
and didn't shake like Elvis.
But sounded just like him.
Enjoyed the video and looked at couple others on the page.
Day he died was a very sad day for me. I'll never forget it.

i have to comment here. i am so dating my self , but i loved elvis.
i grew up loving him.
i used to save his bubble gum cards and when he joined the service i threw them all away. so silly they were worth a small fortune i had over 500.
when he died my kids and i drove around all night listening to elvis records. there was only one and the magic he presented cannot be duplicated.
throughout the years i have had the priviledge of meeting some impersonators --either they looked liked him and couldn't sing or sounded like him but did have the looks.
i looked at these youtube videos i saw some of his facial expressions in a few of them but none really looked like him. a few sounded real close. i'll keep looking maybe someone will come closer than ever.

That's cool, Aladyblond. My late mother was just 3 months older than Elvis, and she really liked him. She made a scrapbook of him after he died. I need to find it one of these days.
I remember the day Elvis Died, I was only 13, (14 later that year) And remember all the songs and tributes played.
We even got the 45 "The King is gone" by Ronnie McDowell.
He WAS the man.[^]
P.S. What do you think of Steve Davis??
-
i didn't think he looks just like him but he sounds good.one of my fav impersonators was bob mcvay from marion indiana i knew him personally and he was good.
-
Your not wrong Freddy, That was SPOOKY[^]
I thought he was fantastic.
-
Thanks Nige - I am glad I am not the only one who was amazed! [:D]
Maybe there's a difference between what the older members recall and what the younger folk do. I was 7 when he died. To me he was the closest likeness I have seen so far. Ok he might not be his twin, but I thought he was pretty close - we all seem to think he sounds like him anyways.
I bow to those with superior knowledge though [:)]
Elvis must be the most impersonated person in the world I reckon.
-
[:D] he did have a lot of facial expressions that looked similar and he sounded a great deal like him.[:D]
-
I didn't see that nervous tick with the lip like Elvis had.
