I would love to have a full body skin made based on a pic of my daughter.  Also, I cannot seem to get the character skins I have downloaded from these forums to show up in hal.  I have the expansion pack.

Make sure that the extensions are .htr and that they are in the UltraHal\Characters folder.
Their images won't show up in the small character window unless you do a screen capture of the character and save it as a jpg with the same name as the character's htr file.

Ex:
Character name = Karen.htr
Image name = Karen.jpg

You should then be able to see and display the character of your choice.

For a character based on your daughter's photo, one can come pretty close by using People Putty and import the photo and edit the head size, shape, etc. Not perfect but like I said...close.

There were quite a few folks here that became good at doing those types of character images.
