i used winzip and made a self extracting test file , ted helped me out testing it ( thanks again ted!)but what it did was created a (x86) file and placed it in the zabaware file .ted has a vista os . mine is windows 7 . i tested it on mine and it worked perfect . i am going to remake the test files (they were actually only a txt file with the words test file ).
before i used this pathway :C:\Program Files (x86)\Zabaware\Ultra Hal Assistant 6\CHARACTER
C:\Program Files (x86)\Zabaware\Ultra Hal Assistant 6
i am going to try a new path of :
C:\Program Files\Zabaware\Ultra Hal Assistant 6
C:\Program Files\Zabaware\Ultra Hal Assistant 6\CHARACTER
and hope that this new pathway will be a more universal so it will place what self extracting files i am making on any operating system that has a ultrahal program installed on it.

It should still work Lonnie. The Program Files (x86) designation is for those 32 bit programs while the other one is for a 64 bit OS.
Whether your method is the default for Hal I can't say as it's been some time since I did an install or extraction to Ultra Hal.
