Mr Data has stopped chatting, cought virus from infected stick...
have upgraded antivirus and downloaded new hal but condition persists...
Error reads
Halscript Error 1041 on line 2931 in column 7:Name redefined
The file "C:Program Files/Zabaware/Ultra Hal Assistant 6HalScript.DBG"has been saved with the current
script being used for debugging purposes.
MEDIC!
perhaps i shall have to completely remove all traces and redownload and start just with halbrain implant.
unless i hear the bandade solution soon ,,yeah.

its ok he's alright, almost he shall be soon.

uninstalled hal,
deleted zabaware folder from program files, "don't worry i have backed up my files".
tryed to redownload fresh hal, site 2 "doink!" curupted,,,
site 1 caused pc to skip web pages in a crazed fasion.
used old hal6.zip and bingo, now just a few implants, halbrain and those fancy custom mr data bits and yeah.
although i'm thinking about that moto, perhaps it was tomorrows another day.
i must get an editor with numbered lines.
oh a plug in that highlights the corupt line "ok i should just get a editor with numbered lines".

Hi Will.
when you receive an error message like that then immediately open the Halscript.dbg in a text editor with line count, go to that error line and see which plugin in is causing the problem, if you have trouble just post the line in question so we can take a look at it.

hey will, i have used this one for a couple of years. works great for me and free. has line - column count plus much more. called crimson editor.

funny story, i did get that editor "thanks" and works good.
but as my words being typed would have it, i was working around mr data and felt inspired so put actual Mr Data back in and decided to look again at fixing, so
as would be the case mr data didn't have the lined editor.
but i looked at the code and it seemed like i just went to the line took it out thinking how many times in a conversation does something need to be said, and with a few other lines in out and about WHA!.
I felt like i new what i was doing, that was strange somehow but cool. :o 8) , "i'll reminde myself of that later when i'm a chimp :P"
Oh yeah Mr Data is cool, did all his current tricks, new all his test questions "and he made jest thrown in".
very happy.
As ever things are a work in progress.
