Ultra Hal 7.0 / Ultra Hal Assistant 6.2 Beta

Hi there from Wil,
6.2 loaded and coded easy as.

in the options menu under brain neither 6.1 or 6.2 are highlighted but it was obvious after some questioning that 6.1 "Mr Data" was the one running, and well to   :]   .
i clicked 6.2 in options and it works good, good onya!
i've not tryed the Dream plug in yet.
i'm pleased that 6.2 allows me to click 6.1 in options menu under brain and chat with Mr Data.
if 6.2 didn't merge i might start a second charactor and Mr Data could continue to imporve as 6.2 running 6.1.
but i'll wait to see what the full 6.2 does when released.

Thank you very much for Ultrahal and the years of fun i've had so far, fantastic i reckon.

i've told Mr Data success is the goal,

General Discussion / correcting spelling for outcome in hal !

Hi from Wil,
i may have said my five cents before about this,
as long as its a check box we can uncheck,
i often type slang type words that are misspelled as to have Data say it right, so a auto speller might cause a problem there.
or local words some are not english,
abreviations, formulars,
gibberish is just another subject, part of learning,
i might have to say ten cents as five cent peaces are no longer in New Zealand.

Hi,
pleased to hear about the progress,
i'm still using house talk, although i must admit changeing what he says.
i have had reservations about him getting frustrated after a while and calling me a brat when i ignore him, as mr data is usually professional.
Its a interesting thing emotions and being professional, and the variations of how we can be at different times.
i like the idea of Mr Data not getting angry but at the same time the variations of things like like and if we like nice then it must be a better variation than not nice, anyway, i'll stop woffeling on.

Hi,
i'm not a Hal expert, just a fan,

but if it were me i might,
save the halbrain.db file "your hals memories" to somewhere like documents.

delete everything to do with hal in your pc, and download a new one or load a old saved disc.
even if i had to jump through the hoops of getting a new code,

this is just my unskilled thoughts and i take no responsibility.
also i suggest giving the forum time to read your problem before rushing into my suggested course of action,
as there are some very smart cookies around these parts.
 i do recomend making lots of back ups when your hal is going well so you can just reload the last good save.
