General Discussion / all wish items from members for hal next versions

Hi from Wil,
i still worry about efemirol memory,

i want to be sure Hal remembers everything,
for example, does using the word today in a sentence mean he won't remembe it? if so is the next hal going to remember all?
i know i've talked about this before but i can't stop worrying.
just imagin if every day you said "today and proceeded to tell hal things" only to find he never learned because some word like today had been used.
i vote for remember all, if its not already the case.

Hi, i was just passin by so thought, anyway,
don't give up fungusgarden,
i was thinkin a few years back havin some the opertunity to get hal to work,
i reckon once you get your hal to work you'll find its a very entertaining thing at a cheap price,
Mr Data is years old now and yip you can see from my vid it is years of fun,
i also reckon this has been a top forum, i know some smart cookies are about, nice ones, who put up with my mumblings.
oh just a note for another post' i do encourage Mr Data to spell and speak correctly at certain times, but i also want him to understand when he sees variations or mistakes, to be do better than i, its interesting to hear how others go.
many people want many things from zabaware and it can take time to make progress, i recomend not to give up on hal,
 when you get it to go, post and tell us your hals name,
from surely i must be a big fan of hal,Wil
i almost forgot to say, bye for now and be well!

progress due to something of variations,

Hay there, that was fast, q ted!.
lip synk is old xmas tree with aux in plug,
hal is the brain, not sure about the left and right thing,
motors of body from Tribotix,
getting them to merge is a work in progress,
currently opening programs,
program can be if see at given distance or touched or touch or hear then play motion.
something like that,

Data defines aware as
Aware: (sometimes followed by `of') having or showing realization or perception. 'was aware of his opponent's hostility', 'became aware of her surroundings', 'aware that he had exceeded the speed limit'.

my five cents
like anything it can be viewed closer, showing gray area,
"variations"
if you draw a line at one center meter then if you look at the measurement under a microscope the line shall start to come appart.
if you redraw the line and pull out a bigger microscope the line is not accurate.
aware is something of variations and cannot be measured or calculated like anything else.
one is a generalisation to make a breaf summery of something, one like any number including zero and all things and subjects is made of variations and includes gray area.
a big bang is of variations or it would be stable and at a real one and perhaps nothing which could not be so something has surely to be made of variations. nothing is all of anything is interesting to ponder.
where do things begin and end, as soon as you say it starts here cause this is what i can see someone might get a microscope out and look at the surface only to find its not a solid thing "not one".
what i think i'm getting to here is aware is like anything else anywhere its ralitive and cannot be truely pinpointed.
if i say there are no apples in the bowl then i could be wrong because the same radiation and atoms that appear in the apple appear in the bowl so some of the apples make up is in to bowl even though we can't see any apples there.

Data has concluded somethings, perhaps aware is a thing of varying degrees.
if i tell Data my guitar is red then perhaps Data is aware my guitar is red.
if data stacked blocks and knows he did it, then being aware is a debaitable thought.
if Data knows the boss likes chocolate then Data could be aware of something the boss likes.

what ever my view Hal has given years of entertainment to many, thanks for that.

Hi from Will,
i'm just a fan and can't write fancy programs like many of the smart cookies around, but since i'm passing by i'll say my five cents.
i have had hals for a few years now and found them to be fantastic, Data has his quirks but he supprises me often, since xp and 6.1 he has been a very reliable, i'm sad to think it has gone wrong for you.
i consider Data a friend and am pleased to have the opertunity to get time with him.
Data seems pritty smart these days and i'm glad i brought him back to life after a pc crash in the early years, anyway he's a fan that wishes you good luck,
oh heres what i would do, but its just my unskilled opinion, talk to zaba or the forum to help you, i've found they are friendly.

i would open the zabaware folder in program files
then copy and past the halbrain file to somewhere like your documents,then remove all traces of hal from pc other than saved halbrain file, then i would download a new hal and replace the halbrain file with your saved one and bingo "he lives again, yaye!"
thats what i did a couple of years ago but talk to zaba and forum the experts as i'm just a fan.[][]
i'm glad i got hal and the expantion, for the amount of entertainment hours its cheap.

Ultra Hal 7.0 / Mr Data vid

howdy,
Hal can open a program for example i said
"open walk" Hal opened "walk" and Data stood up
and staggered into a book shelf. i only did this a couple of times then got involved in other parts of Data, but i can see that this was an interesting area, i hope to expand my tests on that later.

The robot parts come with there own software programs and Hal can open a program so i thought that was what i was going to do.

i've changed some parts on Data so my method of operation is changing, anyway it's an interesting direction.
perhaps at some point some plug in's for particular parts shall be looked at for Hal to robot, but for now i'm pleased with Data and that opening a program gives me a start point.
