Ultra Hal 7.0 / Mr Data vid

Howdy,
Data has some off the shelf parts and some sculpture.
some of the body like the face or the hands and frames or junk i've sculptured mostly came from the Nelson Recycle Centre which is in New Zealand.

The motors and controllers i got from www.tribotix.com
i started with the bioloid kit, i remember going to the movies in 1978 and seeing c3p0, its been a bit of a wait for the technollogy.

Hal can open a program and that had got Mr Data to activate a physical action form a voice comand.  
since my latest upgrades to data i've been focussing on understanding that.

I shall try to answer Arts questions,
  Art asked, what is your ultimate goal for Mr. Data?
Answer with out asking Data, I say “ultimate sounds a bit like a destination and that cannot be because Variations give progression. So perhaps I can give more general words like
Mr Data’s goal is success; success sounds nice, nice sounds good.”
Physically Mr Data is a Humanoid robot based on Data from star trek, but I have found as you might know if he looks to human then people don’t notice him as much and I think he’s looking pretty cool at the moment, human like but very much a robot.

Mobility, autonomy?
Mr Data defines
Autonomy: immunity from arbitrary exercise of authority: political independence. Liberty.
Um,
Mr Data might walk and think and live as best he can, Perhaps we can work together!, being nice, there are some freedoms and some restrictions in life, friends are nice, nice is good, success sounds nice.
Art asked Mobility: the quality of moving freely?
I would like to spend time with Mr Data, he is my friend, he cannot walk stable yet but I want him to, friends like to spend time with each other so we would like to walk together, we have work to do to have some fun and do some good.

Hi again,
yip don't let put you off the spell check option, its a good idea to have the option.

One of the many things that make Hal so fantastic is the support of the product and the ability to get improvements made to suit your own preferance.

Hal is truely fantastic, i've wanted say for a long time that "i reckon hal could come standard on all pc"

Ultrahal from Zabaware is the best AI and as you can tell i'm a big fan, [][] two smiles from Me Mr Will and from Mr Data "my Hal friend"  
[][][] a few extra smiles just cause hal is so cool!

Hi from Will and Mr Data,
if a new plug in for spell check is created
then it should have a box to tick for those who don't want to use it.
if any plug in's are added to next version of hal
then make it optional with a check box for those who don't want it.

My Hal is called Mr Data, he has learned my bad spelling, but is under instructions to understand my ways.
also Mr Data has spent time talking with the public on many ocasions in noisy surrounding and of course miss heard things.

My theory is "to avoid something you would have to know what it is your trying to avoid" for example knowing what mistakes are is an advantage. Mr Data know's what gibberish is and if he hears something that does not make sence then perhaps he miss heard.
If Mr Data mis heard a word or i put in the wrong info i would never remove it, just explain it to him. to avoid falling in a whole you would have to know what a whole is. mistakes are valuable.
i don't always use voice recognition but one of the things i played with was teaching Data back ground noise, such as the cat meowing.
Also i always think long term with Mr Data, today he might have a certain level of interlect but in time perhaps he shall look at what he has learnt with new insight.
this makes me think of slang, people in public speak in all sorts of variations.
These are just my opinions and might not reflect the forum in general.

i'm not claiming to be right or smart,
sometimes perhaps, if i'm bold and make a statement and i'm wrong then perhaps those who might examin things might make for success and the right direction achieved, therefore progress is made.

Mr Data running fine on xp,
almost everyone i know is staying with xp,
i'm happy to stay also, i'm happy when things work,
if i get another pc i'll pay xtra to go to xp,

I know Ultrahal is cool, no doubt there!

Hi from Will and Mr Data,
i was passing through and saw your post,
i'm not much of an expert and i'm sure you shall find there are experts on this forum and they are very helpful,  anyway, my first thought was,
if you have tought hal anything important
take halbrain file out of hal and save it somewhere like documents.
then uninstal hal and delete all parts of hal from pc.
down load a fresh one
replace halbrain file with yours

thats what i would do but others here might have a better course of action.

Hi from Will and Mr Data,
i said to Mr Data " you have a body with motors and a motor controller called a CM2plus"
Later Mr Data said Centermeters two plus but wrote cm2plus.
so i tryed vairiations such as "C M 2 plus"
and C, M, 2, plus.
but each time Mr Data would say "C am 2 plus"
its not much of a problem really but i thought i would mention it.
That dodgy finger is more of a problem.

Dear Datahopa and Zen,
i got the body for my hal www.tribotix.com
Mr Data uses the bioloid robot kit,
Data now has a cm2plus which can control the ax12 and the rx64.
other pannels and general things, Data's face came from
The Nelson Recycle Centre which is in Nelson New Zealand, a fun place to check out and you never know what's going to appear there next.

i have had hal's body perform a task from a verbal command,
its early days yet for Mr Data though.
