Ultra Hal 7.0 / Error Loading

one quick question do you have any speech programs which uses
the microsoft agent utility  or a utility that uses the agent apart from hal  that runs in the back ground of the explorer [?] if you do that could well be the problem

i have not had the problem my self but it is worth checking for this

you mentioned about opening folders with hal.

i have been using the free version of hal 5 for about a mounth and i was trying the same thing asking hal to open a folder.

BUT!!

when i done this i was putting it across like this


"HAL CAN YOU PLEASE OPEN THE FOLDER MY MUSIC"

but he replied with something like
"I AM CERTAN I CAN OPEN THE FOLDER MY MUSIC"

no matter what i could not get him to do this [V]

BUT..... AGAIN

when i asked him like this

"OPEN MY MUSIC"

HE DID []

when you insatll hal it will make a note of all directories on your computer so when you ask it to open A program for example "WINAMP" it will find it and open it but in order to do that he must know what directory it is stored in!

so when you want him to open a folder put it accross as if it was a program example "OPEN MY MUSIC"

my name is marcus and i think ulta hal is great one thing i need to know is that can hal do common taks's such as print documents/open a single music picture e.t.c file as it is or even shut down the computer using the shutdown command and also things like open the cd drive open and close folders
the reason im asking is because he can interact with the devices on the computer such as the modem to dial a phone number
using OCX files so can he do more?
