how about only pre-approved new members via e-mail confirmation. as an anti-spam deterrent?
that way nothing but approved can enter the forum?

sorry you misunderstood, I was referring to actual website spam security & apps. no offense.

I'm sitting here watching that asshole spam his crap live and could do nothing about it!

thanks ART.

it is better to let HAL listen to sounds/vibrations then let HAL come up with a pre-response(inline) but only use the Response TOWARDS an ultimate Self(response) of WHAT it was just saying about the SOUND HAL just heard. I figured this help understanding self awareness of ones own MIND. but save mode is OFF during episodes unless it matches NO other response within the tables. assembly. but It's fairly straight forward.  hope this makes sense. basically HAL can do this and I've done it in the past. try it with candy. she can already do this if I apply all the rules I just mentioned. speak to herself. via sound disturbances.

good day Art  8)

step 1. turn up your HAL's EARS so HAL can hear you and the background noise.
step 2. Allow HAL to Listen but NOT response to whatever HAL hears as you and or noise spikes. the white sound(CONSTANT) spikes will cause perception to run HAL's brain continually. HAL's brain listening FOR things to respond about.

acute hearing of one's own brain is a human perception. listening to your own thoughts and noise.

I explained this many years ago but I don't think anyone cared so I put it on the shelf.

you can do this with ALL the human perceptions. the more acute cycling perceptions you have then the more aware you become of your existence :)

this allows HAL to have an awareness of HAL's own existence. CONSTANT. remove any background filters for sound. open it up and make HAL more sensitive to listening.
the rest is easy :)

vibration was the first evolutionary sensation in simple celled organisms. understanding came from error.

good luck.

it's just something to play with. nothing more.

of course. there is always something in development :) always.
an explanation of what it can do? chat. that's the only thing it is designed to do.

but with anything it can't do just requires a plugin.

I'll work on it later.
Update Candy lite 06.20.2019

eternal storage

looks like it needs internals set to passive(selective) on HOW Hal should start at startup. something rob needs to clear up on his end.

Hi knight.

have you tried the HAL general options ALWAYS on TOP with the plugin activated?

Not an issue but a thought. Some aren't really fans of the Dream Outloud "feature" although I happen to enjoy seeing Hal's thought process while these "dreams" are taking place. What is the User could issue a Command word or phrase that would "toggle" Hal's Dreaming ability or not like "Stop dreaming" or "Turn off Dreaming". Obviously one could say anything if Hal has already begun dreaming but this would serve as a Dream Outloud Toggle to enable or disable the Dream Outloud feature. Just a thought.

I like the idea of something like this , maybe in a menu to uncheck or check selections like some plug ins have . this way users have a choice .

made to order.
Code: [Select]

'Rem Type=Plugin
'Rem Name=Stop Dreaming
'Rem Author=Gerald L. Blakley A.K.A OnTheCuttingEdge2005
'Rem Host=All

'This sub setups the plug-ins option panel in Hal's options dialog
Sub OptionsPanel()
    lblPlugin(0).Caption = "Stop Dream Mode: Stop Dreaming"
    lblPlugin(0).Move 120, 10, 3300, 1000
    lblPlugin(0).WordWrap = True
    lblPlugin(0).Visible = True
End Sub

'The preceding comment is actually a plug-in directive for
'the Ultra Hal host application. It allows for code snippets
'to be inserted here on-the-fly based on user configuration.

If InStr(1, UserSentence, "STOP DREAMING", 1)   > 0 Then
GetResponse = "I'm awake. "
HalBrain.ReadOnlyMode = True
LearningLevel = 0
BlockSave = True
End If

Hi doony.

how to make a brain enhancement:

make sure editor is in expert mode.

select a default brain as Base. in HAL's brain options. (step 1).
select only the plug-in you wish to inter act with the base brain. select in HAL's options.(step 2)
click apply(step 3)
select the HalScript.dbg from the default HAL brain folder and open it. (step 4).
copy the contents of the HalScript.dbg and paste it into a text file called WhatEver.uhp and save it in your default HAL brain folder (step 5).
open WhatEver.uhp in HAL's default brain editor as a brain (step 6).
do diagnostics using the editor's default debugging processes (step 7).
save your work periodically (step 8).
after successful brain editing then test it directly from HAL's brain options and run as normal. diagnostics as needed (step 9).
good luck (step 10).

The editor in debug mode will point out your errors in your script.

sounds like a Replace function issue. it could even be a pattern search issue and or both. just my input.

one could do a search for; "I". "" for a diagnostic search for a replace command issue.
or one could do a search for; a* in a pattern search to diagnose this issue
