I asked another forum how they kept spammers off their web site ( as i see we still have "LOW LIFE SPAMMERS" that keep posting on here .
what they said was ;
I think it has to do with the rules they set but more importantly how new members are handled. Until you hit a 5 post count all your messages have to approved by a moderator.

Daily a number of spammers are trying to post. But staff catches them before it becomes public. Most important are the newbie restrictions. We know this can be annoying to newbies, but it helps us to catch the spammers. It prevents newbies from violating rules on their first post. I

But a well oiled team of staff members helps a lot as well. There's not just one person dealing with spammers, every staff member can deal with them as soon as they're noticed.
That cuts down the work as a whole, and if someone gets sick, or has to take a break, it won't be a big impact on the forum itself.

I am only bringing this up as ways to help even further if possible about eliminating more spammers , i am not saying anything bad about duskrider as i think he has been doing a wonderful job , but maybe some additional rules like what was mentioned before may also help cut down on spammers and even make duskriders job a little easier !
