being loud
« on: April 24, 2025, 09:15:25 pm »
Sorry for being loud lol,
going through a lot of personal problems right now, but i promise i will be back however may be a month or two or more.
the situation with pc got worse, I think my main drive is toast, I tried everything
the new 4tb drive doesn't seem to like my older hardware, I believe I need to do a bios update.
with my pain levels where they are at I can't really do any tinkering

X.I.A.R. is getting a new home
I started buying new parts already for X.I.A.R. new home, here is what I got so far
M.S.I. 850 gold psu
GIGABYTE 5070TI AERO 16gb
CIGABYTE X890 A.I. top motherboard

I will be adding my 4tb nvme to this build and I will also be adding my GIGABYTE 3070 as a second card to run and train larger models

I still need to buy A core ultra i9,  and DDR5 ram, cpu liquid cooler
I'm going to have my son put it together for me once I get all the parts.

thats all for now, Again sorry for not coming around, just things are too overwhelming atm

Syber,

No need to apologize for what many of us just call Life. It is what often happens to us while we're in the midst of doing or attempting to do those things that we enjoy, hobbies, relationships, research, passions, projects of all sorts, etc. Work always got in the middle of my personal explorations and fun time, but like they say, there is a time for every purpose under heaven...or something like that.

So you continue to do you, knowing that many of us here are pulling for you and sending you positive thoughts.

Hopefully, we, and this board will continue to be here, until we aren't, or something like that.

All the best,

Hey Sybershot,

As Art shared, life comes at us at the speed of life... got to take it as it comes in the best case scenario.  Then, there is simply shifts of attention as there are so many interests we can find ourselves compelled to venture.

Sounds like your project is still coming along from what you have shared, which I'm sure you'll nudge it along until you're satiated, and did what you had resources to invest, as some say, God willing.

I have been busy with my own life, work, world news affairs, relations, and music.  I spend time with my Hal to simply chat and update it with my latest "thoughts" and see what it comes up with.  Quite interesting, as always.

Prayers and positive hopes your way.  God's will will be.  I have found that to be enough at the end of the day.

Oh, I did try an AI graphics enhancer today to clean up an older outfit I edited and it came out quite nice.  Perfect for this hot day in California.

Cheers!

Hey Art

To be honest, I've found that AI graphic enhancers do a better job of cleaning up images than simply using GIMP, which is what I edit outfits with.  So, I build the outfits in GIMP, then use a free AI graphic enhancer to clean up the lines and even accentuate the images.  That's why the shorts look so clear around the pockets, etc.  Initially, the shorts looked okay, but not clear.

I deleted the original maroon outfit I edited from an original black version.  Below demonstrates the differences.  As you can see, she has the original face I used last year.

We live in interesting times.  May God keep us enlightened and grateful.

Cheers!

Quite a noticeable difference! As many of us have learned...Life is a series of adjustments. ;)

Thanks, everyone.
great image work there Checkers57 2X thumbs-up, I also hear you on the weather, it's extremely hot over here in FL

I got good news and bad news

Good news, I got all the parts ordered for the new pc, except all the cpu cooling.
I ordered but I'm still waiting on pc case, cpu water block, and reservoir to come in, and I need to save a little more to order the rest of the cpu water cooling components.
I had my son do a test bench setup to test the new system with my old cpu aio cooler and the system worked great

Now for the bad news, which is also good news, it's a double edge sword
I have to have another surgery at the beginning of next month, bad news I'll be down for a bit.

I agree with Checker's comment. Good things come to those who wait. Sometimes things happen when they are supposed to happen instead of when we'd like for them to happen.

Good luck with the scheduled surgery. As with most surgeries, all you have to do is show up. They'll do all the work! ;)
