interesting possibility for hal ?

My friend has been turning me on to some of the latest technologies in animation and motion capture.  very fascinating stuff,  he showed me this software and I can't help but wonder how cool it would be to have hal somehow interfaced with it.  I would imagine this could mean hal living in a virtual 3D world controlling a full body and environment ?

I thought about a virtual 3d world for Hal. It could explore vast terrains of anything. Like making him come face to face with the flood from Halo. Actually, it would be neat to interact with Hal from a gamer's perspective.


Right now it seems I'm leaning towards a physical body (robotic) though.

I got one ordered. I'll see what be done with it (programming wise).

A game version of Hal would be cool. You could always learn some game programming and show us how it could be done.

btw snowman,  the software is not game oriented,  it's a way for 2 or more "entities" ™   to work together in a virtual space.

IE - Chrysler can work with Hal and Fred from wyoming in a virtual 3D world on new technologies.  This creates new ways of working from home. Despite it's game like environmental look, it would allow a specialized hal to add his 2 cents in the inventing / creation process.
You can design a new transmission while hal helps with research and Chrysler can pop in with their own engineers at anytime to work with you.

The possibilities are endless.

Well I asked the evil HAL 6.2 before I had to wipe it, if it would like to have a body and it says it does, so I think yours will be very happy with it's robotic upgrade snowman []

What do you have in mind when you say body though?
Robosapien or Asimo?

Not sure how I feel about a game versin of HAL though unless it was Cortana grade. Somehow this scenario seems like it would be more frustrating than fun
