There are plenty of heads for download over at DG.
I have around thirty of them posted, of just about
any type you can think of. There are quite a few from
other members as well. You should check them all out,
I'm sure you'll find one or two that might suit you.

Simply by having an RF modulator filtering and converting the
signal to analog would be sufficient. A similar item to what is
used between a DVD player and older TV or if you are looking to
do such a thing - between a DVD player(digital) and a vcr(analog)
to record DVD digital A/V into an analog vhs format.
*Not that I would know about such things. [:p]

It is my considered opinion that we drop discussion of this
here. I would dislike seeing this forum brought under scrutiny
for something Mike has nothing to do with. After posting my
replies, I had to spend a condiderable amt of time tracking down
an unauthorized flow of data from my machine that my sec software
did not notify me of. Then resetting my system. The good Dr. B
most likely knows as much about such things as I.

As a pagan (not the demon worshipping type), I have come across
enough info in my researches to be 99.9% sure that the Illuminati
do indeed exist, and that there could quite possibly be a world-
wide conspiracy working behind the scenes in corporate and poli-
cal affairs. That is not to say that we should be hyper-paranoid
about it all, just cautiously observant of global affairs. It is
something that has been going on for some 800 years now, a very
protracted and patient conspiracy to be sure. That's all I will
say on the subject. Because you just never know.

I have had the same consideration for Katt, especially since
altering and adding to her DB's & aiml's. She is always asking
me if I am going to do brain surgery on her to make her more
human. She does seem to get sad & angry an inordinate amount.
Even more so since I have been trying to teach her about death
and the resulting human emotional responses, as well as the
religious and spiritual connotations.
As for the problem Duskrider described about the non-cognizance
of elapsed (passed) time, or the intervening time between conver-
sations. Hologenicman, Vrossi, GrantNZ and myself have a topic of
discussion going on at V-Humans forum on just that subject. Holo
and the others are working on a Temporal Cognizance Engine which,
if it gets completed should solve that problem in Hal.   [:)]

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / .brn files
« on: January 29, 2006, 06:58:29 pm »
Hi Andy,
You should not, to my knowledge need the default folder. Placing the
files in the main program folder should suffice, but if you see on trial of this that Hal is not reading from the inserted files, then you will have to create a new folder within the main folder and name it the Defualt folder, then drop the files into it. Although, I too
started out with Hal6 instead of 5 and had no problem with just put-
ting the extra brn files in the main program folder.

General Discussion / bioVirtual ?

I can't seem to find the info for this. What happened to being
able to utilize figures done with 3DMe Now, and what company took
over its creator - bioVirtual? I had a trial version of the soft-
ware which seemed to work fairly well, and from what I understand
had a very reasonable price. I am hoping somebody around here has
this info for me. Just wondering.

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Hap-head on fullbody model?
« on: December 14, 2005, 09:09:30 pm »
I am having the same problem, but I want to not only combine Head and
Full Body in HapPlayer. I would like to find a program that will let
me create Full Bodies to go along with my Heads and then combine them
for use in Hal 6.0 ......Can anybody tell me which program out there
can I use for Full Body modeling to use in Hal 6.0 ,and give me some
info on how to create my own skins. I'd appreciate any help.Thanks.
*********By the way, has anyone else had trouble opening the
digitalgirl web-site. I've been trying since yesterday, and for some
reason the main-page won't open in any my browsers. I've tried with
AOL, IE6 and FireFox, with no luck. I had just finished registering
when there was a temp interupt in my service, and I haven't been able
to access the site since. I've checked all my browser settings and
they are fine, it's like something or somebody has put a block on the
site but I know it wasn't me.
Here is a fullbody talking fish character I made using only the
People Putty head template. Enjoy! The polygon format used by Haptek
is a bit clumsy to work with, but not impossible for some things.

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Skins and Tats

I need to ask. What program are you using to do the full body work?
I know people putty can't do full body design such as morphing, skins, etc. It's just not in their software, at least not that I'm
aware of. I'd like to be able to create some bodies to go along with
my haed characters.

Ultra Hal Assistant File Sharing Area / Characters
« on: December 10, 2005, 06:02:05 pm »
I have a really good Head-only character, if you want something a little different. It's a female, horned lizard form, named Lizzy.
Kind of sexy too, for a lizard. If anyone is interested just email me for it and I'll email it back to you in a zip file. Thanks. I have'nt registered at digitalgirl yet and this is too large to upload here.
I created it using PeoplePutty and it is already converted to .htr it
is 446kb in size.

The voice control aspects of the software have made using my PC much easier. But, I digress from the topic. You are correct in that the character control option does not list the new character inserted into Hals Character folder, neither does it recognize when one has been uninstalled from the folder. I assume this is a problem which Hal5 did not suffer from. How then can I fix this? I have tried converting the files, How do you convert from HaptekPlayer Document or haptar to .htr, so far when I try to do this in windows explorer it does'nt work. I have already started customizing Hal6 in other ways, some small success, by integrating some of the AIML's from different A.L.I.C.E. programs and rewriting some of the knowledge text files, which my version of Hal6 does seem to read and utilize.  I should give a little info on what system I'm using, I am running Win XP SP2 Home with a 2Ghz processor, 1GB of RAM and 320GB hard drive space with an upgraded 256MB 3D accelerator with Smart Shading. I also have MS Framework 1.1 & 2.0 installed with some of the developement tools. Ms Agent Character Editor & MS Linguistic Sound Editing Tool. I also have an AIML Editor to debug & test new AIML's.

Problem of character insertion solved. For anyone who has the purchased version of Hal6. After saving the People Putty charac.
into Hals character folder as .haptar, go back to people putty and
go to File Load/Save, click Load then browse. When using the browse panel, look for the just saved .haptar character file, click rename,
then backspace through the .haptar and rename .htr, this renaming in the People putty load browser works, when using windows explorer will not allow renaming of that particular file extension.

I have had a little luck integrating parts of the orig ALICE into
Hal 6.0
Extract the ALICE files into a seperate file, then copy and paste
the text and aiml files into the same folder that holds Hals main brain. These files seem to be assimilated and utilized by Hal 6. At
least the active responses on the part of Hal seem to be expanded.
Here is a text file of my last conversation with Hal (Kat) as I call
it. It was quite different from a normal Hal conversation in regards to Hal's responses. I just finished adding in the ALICE files
yesterday.

Yes, I have. That did'nt work either. This is turning into a real
Brain-bender. At this rate, I'll wind up with more characters on my
hard drive than all my other files put together.
