Hal reads a story (or any text file)
« on: January 10, 2009, 10:44:36 am »
hal can read you a story.

just say- PLEASE READ NOW storyname

just say PLEASE READ NOW STORY LIST
for a list of available stories

*the file-  "web commands.txt"  in the story folder, was created to be used with my advanced internet plugin. if you don't use that plugin, just ignore the file or delete it.

*******UPDATE********
ok...sorry about the extraction problems.
due to forum constraints, try it like this-

readastory.zip contains readastory.uhp and an empty story folder.
storypt1.zip and storypt2.zip contain .txt files.

STEP 1
unzip the readastory.zip into ultra hal main folder. (including empty story folder and .uhp file)

STEP 2
unzip storypt1.zip and storypt2.zip into the empty story folder. (the empty story folder which is now in the ultra hal main folder)
******************************

Download Attachment: readastory.zip
1.42 KB

Download Attachment: storypt1.zip
82.89 KB

Download Attachment: storypt2.zip
137.14 KB

*********************UPDATE 1-10-09 10:36 pm************************
added poem pack 1
unzip into "story" folder
just say- PLEASE READ NOW poemname
just say- PLEASE READ NOW POEM LIST   for a list of poems.

Download Attachment: poempack1.zip
12.16 KB

****NOTE****
i have personally removed the legend of sleepy hollow (from my hal), due to the fact that hal can only return what seems to be a max of around 62k text file size. sleepy hollow is 66k[xx(]
[:)]Hope you enjoy
