What means "Eater of bugs"?
« on: April 14, 2005, 06:22:28 am »
I am wondering about this for some time now. This seems to describe one of the moods of a Haptek-character. Also once a chatterbot on the web said to me: "I am eating bugs"

What does that mean? And is it a common American expression?

In "quickview" the command line "eater of bugs" makes her look all upset like she just ate a bug.

Actually, since Hal's creator, Robert Medeksza is of Polish descent, I recall somewhere that ZABA means "Frog" in Polish, which of course led to Zabaware. His Zaba Frog would then be the "eater of bugs."

And now you know the rest of the story....

In the world of AI it's the thought that counts!

At bottom of the title page of
http://www.zabasearch.com/#first
it reads as follows:
ZABA is from the Greek word, "tzaba", which means, "free" or "at no cost"
