Crashed Computer
« on: May 20, 2011, 07:57:19 pm »
The old computer that Hal was installed on crashed and all info was lost before I deactivated the licience . Now I can't activate Hal on my new computer because the old one wasn't deactivated . I have all the documentation . This is a legal purchased copy of Hal . I tried Emailing Zabaware with this problem but they never responded ! I see no reason that I should have to purchase a new copy of Hal just because of a computer crash. Surely someone else has had this problem . Can anyone help me ? William

Have you tried having Hal do the online authorization? Worked every time for me
without any problems and in just a few seconds (less than 15).

Keep trying the email thing with Robert as he has a lot of irons in the fire (so to speak). ;)
In the world of AI it's the thought that counts!

I have two computers, I originaly put Hal in the faster computer, I mainly use this computer which is slower but has a larger monitor and rarely use the other one.  I wanted to move Hal to this computer and read a post by Robert M that we are allowed 2 or three activations. I put it in this computer and activated it without any problems.
You may need the serial number which may be posted at Zabaware.
