I would like this. I'm always trying to make hal seem more alive, and once I try to shut down my computer, is hal tries to stop me, that would be great, at least for me.

Go for it, make the plug-in, let me know when it's done, I'd use it.

I'd love to have it to play with myself.

Human Emotions v.1.0

I will be moving all .Hap Facial Emotions caused by Weights and Balances into one .Hap file called MasterEmotion.Hap

This file will control all 'facial expressions', Shock, Joy, Hostility, Depression Automatically. Individual Emotional .Hap files will no longer be required like Happy.Hap Anger.Hap and so forth for Human Emotions v1.0.

I will be programming some very complex code this weekend and I hope to get it out to you all by the end of the week.

I will work out any bug issues after I have established the next foundation of code.

Jerry[8D]

Sounds good, and love the work so far!  Can't wait. [:D]

I'm still having the run programs issue.  Anyone else or is it just me?

Hi Tanshin.

You can find it in the "mainQA" table.

Jerry[8D]

Thank you, getting tired of all my questions yet?  [?]  I still cannot find the text mentioned above in the mainQA table using the find function.

Every time I have hal connect to the internet the results are the same, hal launches the program fine but this text is always the same.

me:  Run internet
hal:  I will now open this program. Hey, did you know I have a homepage at www.ultrahal.com. Did you know that the internet was originally started as a military experiment for communication between computers in case of war in 1966? It was originally called arpanet. The first commercial web browser was released in 1993.

Can someone please tell me what table to find this data in "Hey, did you know I have a homepage at www.ultrahal.com. Did you know that the internet was originally started as a military experiment for communication between computers in case of war in 1966? It was originally called arpanet. The first commercial web browser was released in 1993." because I have tried to find it and can't.  I would really love to edit this text because I am getting tired as can be of hearing that same phrase over and over.

If you use the A.L.F brain you can uncheck all plugs except the Learn From Clipboard plug so that only Learn from Clipboard functions.

The cool thing about A.L.F is you can choose to unselect even default scripts since all are plugged, What you don't like, simply unplug.

Jerry[8D]

I tried that and ended up unplugging everything which made some things not work anymore, like responding at all.  Can you tell me (or point me to instructions) what to turn off and what NOT to click off that would help by leaps and bounds!

Thanks for any info!

I still would like to have hal respond from the learnedtext.brn and NOT the default brain info.  I really don't like the default information included in the tables that came with hal 6.  Or just if it would respond to from the learnedtext.brn file at all I would be happy.  I still can't seem to get it to do that.

I have a question about the learn from clip board plugin & the ALF brain. [:D]

It is working great for me, love it writes everything to the correct LearnedText.brn file.  Now here is where my questions and ALF come in...

ALF has a ton of plugins you can click on or off, which ones would I need to turn off (with the others on) to get it to read from the LearnedText.brn file ONLY.

To clarify, I want hal to still function but I do not like the pre defined information that comes in the default brain.  I like the info in the LearnedText.brn for conversation.  Can hals origional info be "clicked" off?  I have tried randomly turning things on and off but I don't know if it is even possible, and if so I am turning on/off the wrong things.  lol

Thanks for any info!

You have explained everything to me 100%!  Thank you for not only taking the time to write the code but also explain to me how/why it works.  [:D]

I am learning, ever so slow, just like my bot!  [;)]

Thanks again,

Hi Tanshin.

Try redownloading the file, I have fixed it.
Let me know if it works.

Jerry[8D]

Yes thank you it seems to work great, as far as I can tell.  It reads the information and stores it in the LearnedText.brn file.

One question, how does hal learn the information in the LearnedText.brn file?  I can ask questions about the topics stored in there but cannot get a response that goes with any of the saved data.
