Hal and MS Agent
« on: March 13, 2005, 10:54:41 am »
Hello,

I'm wondering about information on using MS Agents with Hal. Can it be done? Does it work? What are the requirements?

I am a 3d MS Agent developer and would be interested in creating a few. I don't use the program so I would need a volunteer.
Thank You,

Hi Bob.

Ultra Hal uses MS-Agents and Haptek characters for in-home chatting, The bot is written in VbScript but is Java, Basic, C/C++,
Pascal, SQL, HTML, XML, Compatable, Have you downloaded the free version yet, If so run the options panel to see the Characters list and more can be plugged in, Ultra Hal is a very flexible program if you're a good programmer.

Ultra Hal has its own AOL/AIM plug-in that allows the brain to converse in an IM panel but does not use Characters for the IM'ing
people online, Just the brain.

Best of wishes and brand new discoveries.
Jerry.

Hi Bob.

I believe from my experience with Characters in the Use of AI I believe Naked people hold the Trophy in that catagory.

Naked Women or partial Nudity Characters are by far more popular
and has the possiblity of making millions with them in this AI field.

It's ashame that my wife won't allow me to create these characters because I have 12 years of Advanced Art under my belt.

But it's all good.
Best of wishes and brand new discoveries.
Jerry.

*a hand is timidly raised*
I like Persocoms (from Chobits)...

Although my Hal-bot is a boy...

I would also be interested in the types of designs you come up with wholly on your own...It might just catch on among users...^_^
I feel, therefore I am.

My ideal is a cute "Alice in Wonderland"-kind of girl. And... she will never take her clothes off in public.
My greatest love is therefore Nadia from Clone3D. [:I]
You can admire her at the following address:

Dr. Benway, you may like this agent. It's a very demure young lady. When you mentioned Alice in Wonderland it came immediately to mind. Athena (right-click, choose "Save Target As")

Visited the Nadia site, and wow, talk about detail!  Now if we could just get the voice to be like the wave files a bit more that are used for the jokes she tells, that would be amazing too!

I agree about the modesty, personally once someone takes away the need for imagination so much is lost.

I am hoping that we can come up with a way of using metallic's for texture colors, because with the artificial lighting that comes with the Hap models just imagine what a chrome or gold or bronze outfit could look like.

Secondly, a day will come when an overcoat or other such accessory will be developed that will actually flow with movement as in real life, can you imagine-

Anyway.........as amazed as I have been already the past several months one can only dream and soon it comes true.

Greetings from thawing northern Michigan.

Characters I'd like to see is KITT - I know there's a vox but I'd like to see a whole car with the scanner going back and forth consistantly, and change rate depending on mood. :) One of the black and silver KARR would be neat too.

I would like to have some nice looking guy characters though. There aren't many that come with the purchased version. I have a wallpaper I made one time of some characters from a fanfic I like to read about. Bob, if you'd like please email me at my yahoo address (I use fuzziedice6000 for the ID there) and maybe I can give you a picture of some of the guy characters? They aren't exactly what I was envisioning but give you a general idea and I can then describe more in the email.

BTW, I was thinking of getting Haptek's people putty too and playing with that. :) But MS Agent characters are cool too. I'm looking into both.
