Any other programs like Hal?

Since I purchased Hal, it has been fun trying to teach him things.
I was wondering if there were any more programs out there which you
could download and use your own agent?

Hi Bill, I know there is a free open source chat bot to download at verbots.com.
I haven't had the time to try it, so I'm unable to really comment about it, perhaps other members.

I think that I have tried it before and if I remember correctly, it
seems complicated.  I will have to try it again.
